Good Morning Botts:

TGIF!!  I have the last of my pre-op tests this morning so of course, nothing to eat or drink after midnight last night.  I sure would like to have a cup of coffee right now..... My eats and cardio for today are:

Nothing until noon
Lunch:  Quest Coconut Cashew Bar
Snack:  Quest Brownie Bar
Dinner:  Steak & Cheese Sub
Snack:  Protein Shake
Snack:  Protein Shake

Exercise:  None

I am going to be increasing my protein up by adding another protein shake and replacing another snack with a better protein substitute until surgery on Thursday to help get my body ready to starting healing quickly.

Tess, good luck with all the tests, I really am so excited for you...Im living vicariously! 

Sooo, Got on the scale this morning and seem to be holding at 228. Ok. whatever. Id like for it to be down a little since I will be seeing the NUT Monday. I guess I just assume she wont believe my food logs and assume again, that its me. oh well. I know.

Ya know, Ive got on a new outfit today. I look damn good. I know Im working hard.

Eats for today:

XLarge coffee that I dropped out in the parking lot. Quickly replaced though!
Pure Protein bar
Lean Cuisine pizza... Yeah, sometimes I get the urge for pizza. Oh my!
Apple and cheese stick
Baked talapia and ??

OK, this weekend is going to be a challenge, lots of temptations on the horizon, so my goal is to keep the peripherals at bay and stay focused on the the straight ahead...

Breakfast  :  protein coffee
Snack  :  greek yogurt with banana & Kashi crunch
Lunch  :  sausalito turkey spread with laughing cow roll-ups
Snack  :  maybe a 2nd cup of coffee
Dinner  :  we're going out to a steakhouse, so probably steak, sweet potato & some salad
Cardio  :   Zumba

Good luck with the tests. Increasing proteins is very wise.

Nice day today and good weekend ahead.

I received new protein powder (egg whites) and tried that this morning. 1 hr after - I get low BS. Not sure what is going on.  I had very balanced "meal' and that should not have happened. Unless the proteins have sugar. Not sure how to test that.

 Does anyone knows how to test to see if the protein powder have sugar added or not?

eats today:
PB butter
1/2 cup Greek yogurt, 1 scoop protein powder, 1/2 cup blueberries, 1 Tbs walnuts. (ate that and crashed)
1/4 cup cottage cheese, flatout wrap, cheese. (to offset the crash)

not sure what else.  ...
