Friday, May 4th, Cardio & Cafe

Good Friday Morning Botts:

Another week has come and gone and May is well on its way.  My eats and cardio for today are:

Prebreakfast:  Coffee & Miralax
Breakfast:  Chocolate Unjury Shake
Snack:  Quest Brownie Bar
Lunch:  Quest PB Bar
Snack:  Vitatop
Dinner:  Ham & Green Beans
Snack:  NSA ice cream sandwich

Exercise:  Walking

Have a gorgeous Friday and don't forget those vits and fluids.  Temps here today are going to hit 90 degrees.

Hi All,

Yesterday I went to my Surgeon, and after a year
of no loss, I lost 3.4 lbs. Not much but I'll take
it. I still have 78 to go, but now I have hope that
I'll get there a little at a time.

I learned that I need carbs at each meal, I tried
going carb free to speed up my weight loss. Twice now my blood sugar dropped into the 50's. I'm 16 months
out and never had a problem with this since early
on when I was still taking meds for my diabetes.

Anyway, my surgeon says I need to balance my carbs
so here's the plan:

B-1 slice toast with 1 t. lite margarine, 1 egg, 2
egg whites, 1 bob evans sausage patty, 2 T. sauteed
onions and peppers

L-open face tuna melt,celery

D-Birthday party, we're ordering Chinese-will find
something not breaded and fried with 1/4 cup rice

snacks-3 protein coffees, 1 oz cheddar, apple

Hi Eddie... I also have problem with low blood sugar. I do need to balance... but I found out that using more fat and proetins - I can limit carbs and be OK. I still do soem carbs - but try to make them non-starchy.  Exception is the flat -out wraps... they have a lot of fiber and some carbs . I can have taht and eb OK.
Nuts - have all proteins and fat and carbs. 

Starchy carbs is what is making my blood sugar to drop   really really low... if I am not careful.

Ah, that makes sense, both times it happened, I'd had
starchy carbs, after having no carbs at all. and then
nothing for several hours after. Thanks H. B. I'll try
more veggies and fruits and lay off the breads and things like that.

It is wierd that my blood sugar after all this time
is doing this.

Fruits works great with fat.  And non starchy fruits and not too much sugar fruits arre the best.
i.e. I react badly to banana, grapees, melons. But I am OK with almost unlimited berries,  apple (no more that one at a time) grapefruits and clementanes. But oranges are iffy. 
Not all people react to that - but that may be a good point for you to start.
I try NEVER eat just carbs. Even so called "healthy carbs". Cheese and nuts are great a buffer for carbs for me.

Good Afternoon!

I took advantage of some comp time I was due and came in a little late today. Was wonderful to sleep in! Ahhh, I really needed it! 

The scale is still moving down. Which is great, but in all honesty, Im sure its mostly water. But still, How much water can one person retain? LOL ugh. If I can just get past here...

anyway...

Eats for today:

Grande Iced latte w/ SF hazlenut and one Splenda :)
Ham and cheese on low carb tortilla
Apple and Cheese Stick
Didnt have the Talipa last night, having it tonight.
WW Ice cream cup

The MIL is taking DH and I out for Margaritas tomorrow. I'll be having one. Not sure what else, maybe fajitas.

Friday.  Great. I can't get the things to work well for me. I either have runs or get constipated.  Hate both of those. I probably had 1 day "normal" this week.  It may be That I need to move more.. walk more. I have not been doing that lately.
eats:
coffee+ coconut cream
flatout wrap with cheese
flatout wrap with PB
yogurt with proteins and blueberries
more coffee   
salad with veggies, chicken and hard boiled eggs. 

LNS: nuts?

Evening All,
Weather here in KY is hot.  No rain so have to get up early to water garden and flowers.
Cardio - Working in garden
Cafe - Morning - 3 cups of coffee w/creamer and equal, 2 poached eggs, toast, jelly, grits and ham
Afternoon - 32 oz powerade zero, pear, beef flavored cup of soup, pita chips and guacamole
Night - Peach flavored tea, unsure about the rest. It would be good to do nothing.
Hope all of you did well.   Vitamins taken

Evening Botts!

Well, this morning started out with crazy rain and kissing on 50 degrees and it climbed to 70 today.  So, I didn't work out this morning.

Had dinner out with a friend at IHop this eveing and will you'll see for yourself, but So needless to say I won’t have to find anything to cook over the next 2 days because dinner came with soup and salad and I had them doggies back them along with all the uneaten food so for $12.99 my weekend meals have been taken care of!!!

Pre-Breakfast:  ½ cup of Hi Lo Vanilla Almond Cereal with a 1/4c of Almond Milk & Meds

Breakfast:  8oz Protein Shake with only 1 scoop of Protein

Snack:  Protein Bar – Quest/Chocolate Peanut Butter

Lunch: Gumbo 1 Cup

Snack: Chocolate cover coffee beans (15 pcs)

Dinner:  Dinner out tonight (Ihop) Well I had 2 piece of Garlic Toast, 3 bites of the Bacon Wrapped Sirloin Steak, 10 French Fries, 4 pieces of Steamed Broccoli and ¼ of a piece of Waffle.  

Snack:  None, uncomfortable right now!!!!!
