What a great way to start off 2012.  All we need is a plan and a beginning.  You are already ahead of the game.

Thanks Tess,  So excited.  I even got my husband to try ground turkey.  This will make things much better here with everyone on board eating the same thing.

Happy New Year to you too!  Thanks for reminding me about the black eye peas.  I need as much fortune and good luck as I possibly can get this year.  Have a good one.

 Woot!  Day one =c)

Due to staying up till 4am =c) I'm starting late.

Breakfast-Coffee (I can't stand black coffee and while I'm happy with my B vitamin Splenda, I need to find a creamer that coordinates with my lifestyle...any suggestions?)
Lunch/Snack- 1 egg scramble with cheddar turkey sausage and pepper strips.
mid-afternoon snack-string cheese and a baby pickle
Dinner-fish fillet, 1/4 cp veggies
snack-unsure...maybe some cottage cheese and a pear slice?

Work out will include 1/2 hour of jogging and some serious baby lifting =c)

I love the NSA International Coffees by Maxwell House.  I use the French Vanilla and I use the Da Vinci Sugar Free Syrups to change the flavor up.  I start my morning with this every day.  They also make a no sugar added Mocha.   I also use a NSA Hot Chocolate too.  Sometimes it just about having a hot beverage to start the morning.

Thank you so much!  I'm thinking of using skim milk and the NSA syrup...I have tons of those at work that I use...I just like the creamy and hot beverage in the morning as you said...

Well hoping that consistancy is key and confession is good for the soul - here I am.

I woke up with a headache - I didn't party too hard.  I had two good clean no sugar/low carb days and today was day three... if you are like me you know that day three is headache day.

I stumbled into the bathroom.  My back hurt like heck - mopping yesterday was talking to me.  Took care of business then... in my muddled stupidity stepped on the scale.  I had lost two pounds.  I should have been happy but I wasn't.  You mean two days of 1000 calories, a major headache and I'm being a witch to my family for TWO FREAKING POUNDS.  Usually I'd have lost more at this point, sure it would be water weight but still...

So I am the first one up, I put on my housecoat, slippers and take the dogs out.  Through the kitchen, where my husband has left a bag of Reeses discount trees on the counter - I slammed down 5 or 6 while I let the dogs do their business.

I headed back to bed, took something for the headache and slept till noon.  Then I got up and we had a breakfast deserving of New Years Day.  Bacon (3 slices or was it 4) and an egg dish served on fried corn tortillas.

So hear I sit... trying to avoi the blows from beating myself up - something I try to avoid.  I will not give up.  I will turn around and hopefully have a better report tomorrow.

Life happens.  Start again now and go forward.  Sometimes it is not about making it through the day it is just making it through the next hour.  Glad you came back to report.  We are here to hear the good, the bad and the ugly.  You can do this!!!

today was a different day:
made the black eyed peas as necessary for the first day of the year.

then my daughter needed a cookie lesson, so I taught her to make cookies, and I rolled out about 5 dozen gingerbread cookies.

then I made a banana bread.

then I made a killer lasagna, no salt.

now reflecting what I have eaten today:

coffee
bacon and eggs
coffee
black eyed peas
one gingerbread cookie
20 oz sugar free crystal lite
lasagna
I did well not snacking or sneaking goodies., I swear all the cooking made me NOT hungry.

too busy to run outside, maybe tomorrow.
