Hi Botters!
Here we are, all in the same boat. A little background on myself:
I'm 52 years old and live in a small northern suburb of Chicago, Park Ridge. I am 11 years out, initially lost 130 lbs. I maintained my weight for over 5 years. Needless to say, I regained over 60 lbs. I have to say that a majority of the gain was my fault, but...I am also on a boatload of psych meds. After reading a lot of posts, mostly from Melting Mama, I consulted a Psychiatrist who was also a Pharmaceutical Professor. He was able to explain to me why people with gastric bypass can't tolerate a lot of different meds, especially psych meds. During the past year, there have been so many issues in my family life, that sent me spiraling into a deep depression. The bad news, I've been in and out of the hospital a few times. The good news, I've lost over 40 lbs. and have been maintaining both my mental and physical health. I'm online a lot and would be happy to help talk to anyone who needs a boost or "a good talking to". Please feel free to email me at : [email protected]
Just keep on BOTTing!

I need a buddy too. I had my RNY in 2004. Did really good for a few years and then life happened. Taking care of 2 terminally ill relatives, raising 2 teenagers and working crazy hours at work have taken a toll on my nutrition. Now that I'm down to one teenager and my crazy job I want to get things back in order. I'm in central Indiana near Kokomo.
Well we can be everyone BOTT buddy....just have to sign in here everyday...thats what I am going to do, support from many people....
Today:
write everything i eat (and plan) in my food journal.
start an excercise plan (and actually try it out)
get rid of tempting foods in my house (that none of us actually need)
write here, everyday, to help support at least 1 person and get some support for myself!
Have a great day everyone! We can all do this together!
Hugs,
MJ (Boston)

I'd LOVE a buddy! I live in northern NJ, around Teaneck, Passaic, Clifton, Nutley, etc. If anyone is looking for a buddy in any of those areas, let me know. Of course, I can do this by phone and email too, in fact, since I can't drive right now (long story) a phone/email buddy might be better!
let me know.

Dear 2fun 2quit,
If your still in need of a BOT Buddy, I'd love to share the journey with you. Even though I don't live nearby (I live in Maine), I'd be happy to offer my support via email, snail mail, etc.
