Back On Track Together Buddy!

Hey Dawn!
I can relate! and I can be your BOTT buddy! As I said, I have regained about 50lbs since my RNY and feel horrible about it, what a gift that I have, and paid dearly for, as you know it is not easy having this surgery or any for that fact. I just need to get back on track and list what I eat, drink, and my excerise. I have to tell you I hate t exercise, so even a walk on the treadmill for me is more than I am doing now. I have to take back my life and not have food be in command any more.
A bit about myself. I am a wife and a mom (24 yr old daughter) I work full time at a local hospital. I am a Lead Radiology Tech in the Operating room. I am usually very busy during the day, so the rush after work can be just as stressful for me, which is when I tend to overdo with the food, etc.I also work part-time (only 5 hrs week) for hubby and his business, which is not so stressful for me.
Ok thats my 'soapbox' for today, I hope that we can be buddies, and work together for our common goal.
Happy New Year!

Hi everyone!  I'm from Indianapolis, IN and looking for a buddy.  I am 9 years post op RNY as of yesterday.  I have had nothing but complications from this surgery.  I lost 140 and kept it off for almost two years before going on massive dosages of steroids.  I am finally off steroids and trying to get back to my goal weight.  I am weighing in at 205 and want to get back down to 160.  I know I need help eating healthier and getting in my protein and water.  I'm one that could go all day and not eat.  Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Stephanie E

Hi, My name is Trudy and If I don't get my head back in this game I am going to be back where I started from! You know that slips off the tongue but it way too true for me. I am 100 pounds down from my original weight but 80 pounds more than my lowest. So...

I had open RNY in Nov. of 2006. It is hard to believe it has been so long. For the first two to three years I was a WLS posterchild. I mean I followed all of the rules. My husband went into kidney failure and started dialysis. Between the initial time (about six months) of him being sick needing to get on dialysis but things weren't in place yet. Then having to be hospitalized for complications - anyway the first year was really hard. And we had two children at home. He is more in the groove of dialysis now but still doesn't have the energy he once did. And I have slipped into my old habit of taking care of everyone but me.

I have to get back to taking care of me well, so I can take care of everyone else well too...

So I will... print off the back to basic information.

I will plan my food.
I will exercise.
I will not beat myself up!

Hi Trudy!

I'm Donna from Georgia...I'm looking for a BOTT Buddy and noticed that you and I are in almost the identically same situation...I had RNY on November 2, 2006. I had lost 106 lbs. after surgery but never reached my goal. I have since regained and lost until I'm now around 100 lbs from my goal weight. I'd love to be "buddies", if you don't have one! I think we could really help one another.

If Trudy has one...I'd like to be buddies with someone else on the group. :)

Hey Donna - I don't have one and I'd love one!

I did great for two days.  I got on the scale this morning and has lost two pounds.  I was disgusted that it was too little and have been eating all day...sad face!

I'll pull myself back... right now I'm dodging blows from beating myself up... the more things change...
