 Hi Botts,

It's always easier if we have someone there to help us.  When  you don't feel like going for a walk that person pokes you and says get on it.  If you are at the store and have those cookies in your hand, text your buddy and or come here and post and we will pull it out of your hands

If you are interested in getting a BOTT buddy, sign here.  Once you and another fellow Bott member decide to work together edit your post to say you have someone.  If you feel comfortable let members know where are you located and if there is someone near by that is cool.

I need a buddy and I am located in Plainfield, IL.  Between Joliet and Naperville.

Happy New Year Botts!!!!!!

Take care,
Kathy

WOO HOO!  Thanks Cathy!

I have been having a problem with the items I have to bring into the house for my husband. Cookies, soda, bread, etc. I have been able to stop the candy and cookies, but soda is hard for me. I do not drink several a day as i used to. I am grazing. I eat apples, drink crystal lite, but crave salty items. I have started back on the protein shakes finally. Can you advise protein bar meal replacements to me. I am not sure if I am eating the wrong items or not. I know the protein shakes are good, I am eating greek yogurt too. Help I also have an issue of staying up late again. Working on getting it together again. I have not gained enough that I am uncomfortable in my size 18 pants, but I want to lose much more and several sizes.

I've been a member of this group for awhile now.  I've also needed to get back on track for awhile now.  I feel like I don't know what I'm supposed to do or how to do it.  Before WLS I had lost the same 100 lbs 100 times.  So why do I feel like I don't know what to do.  I also don't feel like I have it in me to accomplish this ... I'm drained.  It is depressing to once again ... after 7 years of maintaining .... to put clothes on to find that they are too tight.  I feel defeated!

 Hi Judy,

I can't speak for everyone but can tell you what helped me. Getting back to the basics one by one.  Take a look at the sticky posts here and read what we have provided.  We tried to lay it out to remind us of the actions we took/lived by that enabled us to lose the weight.

Things like journalling, and moving is key.  Start out by writing down everything you eat and what you are feeling through out the day. This will give you a road map of where you are adding on pounds. Be sure and note portion control and EVERYTHING that goes in your mouth.

Take that road map and make changes one by one.  For example, you see in writing you are taking in too many bad carbs.  Remove those items from  your home and replace with fruits and veggies.  Remember to not drink 30 mins before and after eating.  Eat more small meals throughout the day.  Get moving.  Exercise and eating clean goes hand in hand.

Come here daily and be accountable by posting your food and exercise in the Cafe and Cardio thread. Also feel free to post when you are not doing well. We are here!!!!

Stay in touch as you make these changes and get the support you need to make those clothes lose again.

Happy New Year!
Kathy

Judy, do you still need a BOTT buddy?  I am dead serious about this and need someone who will stick with me to help motivate me and I will do the same.  I had RNY in Feb, 2009 lost 120 pounds and gained 30.  I've lost 6 back and am determined to get this back off.

Grazing and less body movement is my culprit.  We know what we have to do....Lets JUST DO IT!

The last thing we both need is someone who says they want help and then drops out on the other one.  Im in for the long haul.   If your with me.......Send me a friend request and private message me and we can exchange e-mails.  (we can keep in touch on here too.

My name is Debbie.

Julie I too had this issue and I find if I eat protein in small amounts through out the day and for snacks those cravings are gone and I dont eat at night.  Also have something really great like Yogurt with SF syrup and fruit. Maybe add some granola for crunch!

YUM!

We are here for you, take it slow YOU CAN DO IT!

Take care,
Kathy
