Back On Track Together
Monday, December 19th, Cardio & Cafe
I've been back in the gym doing cardio for about 6 weeks now, and am happy to report that just last week, I eased into [a form of] HIIT (high intensity interval training). I warm up for 5 min at increasing speeds until I get to 4.0 (walking) at 2% incline. Then at 10 min intervals, I kick it up to 6.0 and jog for 2 min...then back down to 4.0 to wal****il my next jogging interval. Overall, I am only jogging for a total of 8 min each session, but it has really increased the calorie burn. at the end of my workout, I have gone 4 miles, burned 400+ calories and more importantly, I walk way with a great feeling that I've done something really good for my body! Also, the trainer at my gym has said that HIIT is the best way to get the most calorie burn and fitness benefit that will last you throughout the day...even after the workout is done.
Nothing tastes as good as healthy feels!
wow...
good for you.... I will stick to horizontal exercises for time being... and shopping...
