Back On Track Together
August goals... post here - and stay on track
1. maintain my weight - check.
2. yoga and walking and other exercise - check
3. healthy eating - check...
So far so good. My ul;cer (I think) is acting up and that causes pain and food aversion. There are some food I can - will eat - but it is grazing and not "real" food... Yesterday I ate some meat and the pain was snot nice... so today - I really do not want to eat. Also- I can deal with the pain with pain pills or alcohol --- so fat neither are good choices, but I enjoy the alcohol... lol..
I need to get on track with my ulcer medication but it is so difficult to fit it in when you have to eat and take vitamins, including a lot of iron (my ferritin are bit low).
So this weekend - I will try to device a plan that I can do all of that - eat, take medication, and vitamins and minerals, and... deal with it all, without drinking. I may have to give up my coffee for a while, but that ios that lasst thing that is my "indulgent" so I am a bit reluctant to do so... but - 2 months is not eternity - so ... will see.

I am going to the OH convention in Cincinnati, so I am really looking forward to that.
When I try to lose weight - (or see my weight creeping up on me) I limit not calories - but carbs -Works like a charm for me. Limiting calories make me hungry - limiting carbs - but getting more fiber as in green vegetables, and getting more proteins + fat instead of carbs - keeps me full and allows me to lose weight. (i.e. - I get a handful of nuts instead of piece of bread or extra fruit)

1. Continue my healthy eating plan- GREAT!
2. Start a yoga class of beginners and go atleast 4 times- UGH. Haven´t even researched when I can do it. Will do so on Monday
3. Be nice to myself- I WAS! I got an amazing hair treatment and my hair looks so nice that I feel 300% better about myself!
So far so good, I guess. I will make an effort next week to start the yoga class. I´ve had a few challenges with my meals (eating out, birthday party...) and I´ve passed with flying colors.
I´m doing well but I could be doing better! So I´ll keep trying and keep posting! Good luck to all!
How is Yoga going? have you done yoga before? if not - 4 x a week maybe a bit hard.
I know that I hurt after every yoga. My muscles that is- and I am a level 2. If you start yoga- and find it hard - limit the yoga for a first month or a few weeks to maybe 2-3 times a week. When I started yoga - I could only do it every 2-3 days. Now - my body feels broken when I do not do that for 2 days. But at the beginning - it was tough...

Sorry, I guess it sounds like I was thinking of 4 times per week. I was actually aiming at doing 4 beginner classes this month. I have an appointment this afternoon at a local yoga center so they can tell me when they meet for the beginner classes. I´m really looking forwarrd to it. It´s something I´ve wanted to do all my life and have been too scared to do. Losing weight has given me the confidence to atleast give it a try. I can´t wait!! I will let you know how it goes. I´ve heard it´s tough but very rewarding.
How are your goals?
I did great this weekend. Stayed very focused with my meals despite a trip to the beach so hurray for me. Have a great week and stay focused!

2. Continue to reduce Aspartame intake.
What do you mean buy that? How many times a week or a day - you allow yourself to have aspartame?
BTW: that's one sweetener I avoided like a plaque. It is a neuro-toxin and it messes up with a person brain. That is a one thing I was always proud off - so the moment I learn that NutraSweet may mess that up - I gave it up. Completely.
Whey do you plan to completely remove that from your diet? I am pushing - I know... but only because I care...
