 Hey Botts,

Temptation, Temptation, Temptation!!!  Every have one of those days when you think the devil (rather you believe in one or not) has rang your door bell and pushed his way in?

Morning, my husband was running to the bank and then he comes back with some "hot" cinnamon rolls.  I had one bite but, shouldn't have!!!  My son stopped by and had picked up some food from Chipolte  Now you can eat really good there but he didn't have anything good, so I picked it ....

Dinner I knew I was ok, grilled pork, grilled veggies and salad.  Then one of the people my husband works with stopped by with her adorable little 4 year old and he was so pleased he had brought us some Girl scout cookies.  Now do you think I was going to say no to that little face wanting me to eat his cookies?  I ate one but dang....

So today is extra cardio day for sure

How is your day going?  Come on in and share, be accountable and inspire!!!

Take care,
Kathy

I am having a good week so far! Lot's of exercise and keeping calories between 1200 and 1500.
I had a early morning run with a friend before work and am running again after work with a different friend. Breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack planned and were ready. Dinner is up in the air but that usually means scrambled eggs!
A friend brought me a mini chocolate cookie yesterday and i ate it. I was still under 1200 calories for the day amd luckily it did not invoke carb cravings.

Hi Kathy,
Wow, don't ya just hate those kind of days?  I've been doing good today.  Met with some friends for lunch.  I felt pretty good ordering some soup broth while the others were eating so many other things and topping it off with chocolate milkshakes for dessert.  I walked away very happy with myself for sticking with my liquids and not feeling so stuffed and bloated!

Well, the ice cream social is going on as I type - the good thing is, everyone (or nearly everyone)is going back to their office to eat so I don't have to sit there with the goddies staring me in the face and watch everyone else eat.

Next temptation comes at 7:00 in the morning when we are having a pitch-in breakfast as a  farewell to a couple of our Active Duty staff who are retiring.  Everyone will be in the conference room eating.  Haven't decided whether to have my breakfast at home and totally abstain from the food brought in (I'm furnishing all the paper goods and silverware) or not eat at home and "eat smart" here at work.  As I write this I have made my decision - eat breakfast at home and abstain from food brought  and quit kidding myself that I would "eat smart"  (Do I hear oink, oink, oink????)

OK - I'm beginning to think right - which is a giant step closer to eating right.

See you tomorrow

Well so far, I'm doing good. I've stuck to nutritious and high protein food, no unnecessary snacking, and did some hard core cardio today. We have a schedule of classes at the gym at work that I plan to try t get to every day. Monday there is nothing, but Tuesday is "Total Body Conditioning" lifting, push-ups, etc... Wednesday is "Hi/Lo" cardio work-outs on the floor, Thursday is walk/run for 30 minutes, and Friday is Pilates. I missed Wednesday this week because I was DEAD after tuesday, but even though I was still dead today, I did the walk/run. I'm very proud. Tomorrow will be easier with pilates, my legs are killing me.

Have a great day all!

Hi Kathy,
I too had a day of temptations. Pot luck lunch at work and a school program for daughter. It could have been worse but I tried to remember the summer challenge.
THANK YOU FOR THE SUMMER CHALLENGE AND KEEPING ME ACCOUNTABLE.

OK a day late but it's a step in right direction that I'm posting.

Actually yesterday was a good day.
Started day with an AWESOME Vanilla Latte CLICK shake. It was so yummy...I added a banana to it...AWESOME!!!!!!!

Went to DH and my favorite Italian restaurant with gret OH friends(down from Montreal). Had a few bites of the most delicious eggplant rotallini...it was to DIE FOR!!!!!!!! Some will be packed in my bag for today's lunch.

Thats another step in right direction. Planning and packing my meals instead of depending on the hospital cafeteria to have something decent.

So I'm focusing focusing focusing. And it'll lead to my being Accountable
