Back On Track Together
Waving to everybody
Hello everybody. Some of you may already know me. To those who don't remember me or know me, I used to be a regular on OH until all the drama chased me away. It seemed that there wasn't much support at that time. But I've been given an invitation to join this group (thanks Kathy) to get myself back on track.
Pre-RNY('06) I weighed 385 lbs. Post RNY I lost 150 lbs. I was so happy and proud. Then I fell ill and my weight loss came to a screeching halt. In '07 I had a hyserectomy and startedthe downward spiral of regaining. I have regained about 75 lbs. I'm not proud of the fact. In fact this is a very emotional moment having to admit it.
I slipped back into old habits after becoming very discouraged. Now I'm trying to get back to the basics and trying harder than ever to get some of it off again. My first step was to stop drinking soda. My addiction is Coke Zero. It's been 3 days. While I miss the flavor very much, I'm sure it's 1 step in the right direction. Next, I am going shopping this weekend to get a journal and start keeping track of every bite I eat and why.
This summer my hubby and I have a lot of camping planned. We both enjoy the outdoors as does my best buddy Kit. Kit is my dog and my exercise buddy. She is very loyal and loves to go outside. We walk together, play fetch and I am always teaching her new tricks. She has a lot of energy. She loves camping too. She keeps me moving.
It's been a long hard winter. So much snow and bitterly cold temps. The Spring thaw sure feels good. Our first camping trip is only 3 weeks away and I'm very excited. And I'm looking forward to getting to know some of you. :-)

Welcome aboard. We have very similar stories. I just start back posting here after a 3 year hiatus. Since I started back posting here I am down 10 of the 80 pounds I gained over 3 year period. I am determined to lose weight I lost and to reach the goal I never reached. We can help each other.
You have taken some good steps and the best is posting here for support!
I am in many groups here and I try to read and post here daily. this helps me stay focused myself, receive help and ideas and help others going thru the same thing as me. And really I am surprised how many are getting back on track. Enjoy your weekend and I look forward to encouraging each other. You can do it!!

Welcome back , Nicie Withouth the caring, supportive, understanding positive folks I have found here, I am sure I would never have been able to get back/stay on track after regaining 30-35 pounds of my 100 pound loss. I call them angels in disguise as humans
Now not only have I lost what I gained, I've lowered my goal weight by 10 pounds and am maintaining!!!!! I have lost one of me - I have lost 110 pounds and I weigh 110. YOU CAN DO THIS Maybe not as fast as you'd like (we'd all like to wake up the next morning at goal weight LOL) but lose it you can. You have done it once, so you KNOW you can do it. Believe in yourself!
Kit will do her part, I'm sure. Now it's just up to you to do your part - one day, one hour, 5 minutes at a time - depending on the day. As we think, so shall we eat. So ferret out those thoughts that set you to eating.
If you feel comfortable, post often. I have found that I need to post on the C & C thread everyday (with a bit of time off on the weekend maybe) as it help me to hold myself accountable.
WE CAN DO THIS TOGETHER - YES WE CAN.
