Insufficient Proteins in Diet...Need HELP!

I am 5 months Post-op from RNY and I am struggling to get enough protein.  I really don't like whey protein and if you have any suggestions on how I can get enough protein in for today?  I have alot of improvement. Easy to grab protein and maybe cooking some protein?  Cookies and snacks seem to digest better than chicken but I try to avoid them mostly. Any good books on this let me know

I have been working out and sometimes I feel I am not getting enough calories because my energy can be kinda low.  Seems I need to add some carbs to help with this.

Thanks for all your support from the Tarheel State!

What is it about the whey you don't like?  Have you tried Isopure? Or ABB Pure Pro Grape?  These are more like juices and you can get them at GNC and the Vitamin Shoppe generally if you don't mail order stuff.  I had to add Splenda to the Isopure, though.

Also, have you tried the Supreme Protein Carb Conscious bars or the Oh Yeah wafer bars?  I love them, but I'm a sweet-aholic... even for sugar free stuff.  Your body really does need lots of protein, especially if you are working out.

How do you feel about Egg Protein?  Jay Robb I believe is egg protein.  How about beef/turkey jerky?  Have you tried the Nectar proteins?  I got some nectar protein samples from www.vitalady.com

When you say digest better than chicken how are you cooking the chicken?  CRAP I mean carbs all seem to go down better but you know what eating those will do for you =(

Now if you need ENERGY for your workouts I'd suggest having say 1/2 to whole piece of fruit before a workout.  I know when I was really working out I would have a Roadside Lemonade (Nectar Protein) mixed with All-Bran Pink Lemonade (fiber) for my after.

Do you cook?  I use www.allrecipes.com for most of my recipes.  A crock pot or pressure cooker are good things to make the meat moist.
