Hi BOTTers,

My 411 (information) is that I'm very gratefully on a momentum of being back on track.  I feel so, so much better physically and emotionally.  Someone without food issues would think it is such a no brainer.  I feel so much stronger, inside and out, and at the top of my game so why would I ever do anything to jeopardize that??

I am so much more able to manage emotions without the crutch of eating over them.  One of my hold outs is when I get sick.  The next time I get sick, hopefully I'll be able to apply this experience of being off track AND having a difficult time getting back to it after I feel better.

It is beautiful outside today.  Things are going well for me.  What's up with everyone??  I get so much from everyone's posts.  Thanks for sharing.

BOTT POWER,
Cathy

Good morning!  It IS a beautiful day and I am thankful to have lived to see it.  I am still recovering from a pinched nerve and still having issues with that and my husband being unemployed is wearing me out.  It is also coming on my busy time at work and I feel like a moron because I sent out a mailing from work with my home email address in it. I even had someone proof it and they did not catch it.  My bad, though. I don't feel like I ever really have the time to recuperate from any of my health issues.  This weekend I am going to try a new medicine the rheumatologist prescribed for restless leg.  I'm leery since I've had so many bad reactions to medicines, but if it helps relieve some of my fatigue it should be worth it.  Tonight I have a class - second week of Managerial Accounting for my MBA.  Wish me luck!  It will be a LONG day.

Good morning Cathy. Happy to hear that you are feeling better and BOT!

It is a beautiful day. I am feeling so much better after my WLS doc appointment yesterday and my weigh in and measurements today at Body Empowered Fitness!

It's a 911 day...
We had our two granddaughters yesterday and today.  Needless to say, only 4 hours sleep.  Eating all the wrong things.  This will definately be my higher calorie day!

Can you imagine - I have not been eating enough calories?   Boggles my brain!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My energy level has been LOW the past two or three days so checked to see how many calories I need to consume to maintain my weight and, amazingly, I need to eat more.

So, today I am consuming only 13 calories less than the maxiumum I need to eat to maintain and am going to eat more buffalo and less fish for a few meals - Did you know that buffalo has more iron per oz. than beef - I didn't until I checked it out.

Making those two changes should up my energy in a day or two.

My 411 for today is my appointment with my surgeon.  Labs showed that my iron is a little low (that explains my being tired) and my calcium is a little low as well.  So, he is changing my iron to another type, and back to see him in 2 months.  We talked about my inability to get weight off that I had put on (in spite of all of the things that I am doing right), and he let me know that his practice is bringing on an internist who specializes in weight management.  He wants me to see him once he is on-board to go over labs, exercise, food intake, etc.  I am excited at the prospect of having someone walk through all of this with me to plan long term success!  I am very lucky to have the surgeon(s) that I have...they are so tuned into their patients!  :)
