MSBFGE - 37 Days to go - Week 2 weigh in
Hey Everyone
My bad I didn't post yesterday.... It was a lazy day and I was tired.
So, I can't believe it's been two weeks since I started this. By now I would have messed up big time and tried again and again and again. I really have to nail this down why it's working now? Was all it took was a big carrot dangled in front of me? I hope not, and don't think so. I think I was SO ready and this was the trigger that has helped me
I got on the scale this morning and let me tell you I wanted to get on that scale so bad this weekend but didn'tI have lost 3 pounds My game plan for losing seems to be working right? Well I think the key to being successful "LONG TERM" is to be flexible and change where needed.
My head game I played the first two weeks was I will eat that when I get back from my trip, or don't need it, just head hunger....yesterday was really, really bad and I wanted popcorn so bad. I am eating a pretty restrictive diet because I am trying to lose as much as I can in a short time frame. Not recommend, but desperate times call for desperate measures. However, we need to give in to our cravings in a good/healthy way or we will NOT be able to lose and maintain long term.
I searched my pantry and YIPPEE, a low fat 100 cal bag of popcorn was there, popped it, ate it and was very satisfied.
Botts, I can't believe it's been 2 weeks already. I really hope you are joining me with this mission. Spring is just around the corner and we all will be glad we did this no matter how much we lost
Food for the day
protein shake
salmon with tomatoes (due to bad weather I paid through the nose for these puppies)
almonds (i eat sliced almonds and it feels like I am eating more instead of whole ones)
protein shake
2 hard boiled eggs (1 yolk)
stir fry with veggies and shrimp
apple with LF peanut butter
EXERCISE **** NOW READ THIS
I have been doing mostly cardio for the first two weeks, now I need to kick it in with the weight training
If you are sayinghear me out
The more muscle we pack on and ladies it does not bulk us up, the more cals we burn. For example, when I eat a meal, I burn more cals of that meal than someone that does not work out regularly with weights.
So, doing upper body work today. I will post how many reps and such tomorrow. Need to post this on our cardio and cafe thread also.
K, I have rambled on enough
Have a great day Botts, and we can do it, we can do it, we can do it
Take care,
Kathy

Hi Kathy. Congratulations on your weight loss and being BOT!
I know what you mean about taking severe measures. When I was so close to goal, about 3 pounds I did that as well. It does work but only for short times. Otherwise, you feel deprived and then mindless eating comes to play havoc. You got to do what you got to do to get there. I have no doubt that you will!
Keep up the pace! It's working.
Have a wonderful day. Hope to see you sometime this year!!
