MSBFGE - Day 46 Attack of the Girl Scout Cookies
Hey Everyone,
The day started out well, I had my protein drink and hit the gym for a great cardio workout. Then I was out getting my passport updated. I noticed girls selling cookies in the parking lot of the post office. I stuffed a piece of gum in my mouth and kept saying Greece, Greece, Greece. Normally I play mind games with myself and say I can have that after the trip. Can't say that about GS cookies. I then proceeded to drop off a rented movie, and there were girls there selling cookies. Popped another piece of gum in my mouth. Went to Walgreen's to get a post port photo and OMG, "they" were there. I looked in my rear view mirror as I drove off to make sure they were not following me with a wad of gum in my mouth now . Next stop was having lunch with my son and his gf (ate salad), whew. NO GS cookies
As I was driving home I kept looking in the mirror for a giant peanut butter cookie rolling up next to me Just as the memory of those fabulous cookies were leaving my mind, I turned into my subdivision and there they were...lined along the street, not one, not two, but three different neighbors. I always buy and support the kids...I just didn't want to buy them, I would eat them. As I drove by, I would look the other way as if I was looking for something. I am so ashamed, but...................... so proud
Man this is so hard , one day down one to go for the weekend...
I can do this, I can do this, I can do this....
Take care,
Kathy

Hi Kath,
I am cracking up at your post. Check out my post for today on my blog that I made early this morning. Great minds think alike. We are both named C/Kathy and wired as we are being friends.
Good for you today! I know (again, check my blog post) how hard that was. Girl Scout cookies, for me, are the same as any hard core drugs to a drug addict!! And....you did it!! You didn't get into the rationalizations you are buying them for hubby, your son and soon to-be daughter-in-law, your dog, after your trip, eat one a day, blah, blah, etc., etc.
You are doing it. Congratulations! I know how committed you are and you are an inspiration.
