Hi,
the most difficult thing is getting back on track. I really messed up the first time and burst my staples. I was lucky and had the operation again last year.
Is there a group near where you live that you could join? Or get rid of all the "bad" food from the house and start a diary. One put what you eat in it and two put down how you are feeling that day. Also how about buying something a size too small that you could hang up outside your wardrobe.

Hi Gail,
Nice name (that is my middle name Thanks for the tips. I especially like the idea of the smaller size outfit.
As for a support group, I had a really horrible experience with the one in my town. To make a very long story short, I got no support because I was a "foreigner" I went throug the surgery with no support except my husband. I stayed away even from OH for about 3 years but decided to give it another try. I am hoping that this group will help me develop the tools that I need to get back on the right track.

WELCOME, T You've come to the right place. I hope you find this site as helpful as I have. I, too, am 4 yrs+ out from my lap band surgery. About two years out I gained 30-35 pounds. I struggled up and down and then I found this group. They are, without doubt, the most caring, supportive, understanding, accepting and positive group of folks I've every found. It's like a family - a family I chose. So you are now part of the family as well. Yesterday I say my surgeon for a check-up and was thrilled beyond words because I have reached 100% of my goal (lost one of me - weighed 110 and lost 110) and am MAINTAINING for the first time in my life. I know I could not have gotten back/stayed on track without this group
