MSBFGE = My Son's Big Fat Greek Engagement

Hey Everyone    Happy Friday

I start work at 8 and since I am awake early I wanted to take some time to gather my thoughts and think about the last 5 days and the coming weekend.  I am in shock that I have stayed with my eating plan for 5 days. I don't want to make any changes until I weigh in Monday   Then adjust accordingly.  Here are some things I am going to do this weekend that will help me through the weekend and for the next 47 days.

1.)  Come here and post - I usually don't on weekend
2.)  Stay busy - play on my farmville, start my project clean the basement
3.)  Find photos of the different locations we are going to, print them and post them on the fridge and pantry
4.)  Go the the Y, if nothing else walk - keep moving
5.)  Get my passport renewed - LOL it expires this month
6.)  Look up what the weather is like in April in Greece
7.)  Go through my closet and find one outfit that I want to be wearing in Greece and try it on daily
8.)  If I feel like I am going to get into trouble I will come here and post in the BOTT 911 thread

Food for the day
Warm Lemon Water
Lots of water
Take my vitamins
Protein Drinks every 3 hours
(if I feel I need something more for lunch or dinner I do so with high protein)

Exercise
Going into the basement and work my boxing routine.  YEAH BABY

Take care,
Kathy

Kathy are you seeing results on that regime?  I have been BOT for 5-6 weeks and ya I lost 10# but I am being sooo good that I expected better results.  The only thing I can think that might be slowing me down is either sugar alcohols from protein bar or crystal light...or too few calories...I know 10# is a lot and pretty good considering that I only want to lose 20 more but.......I am driven by results and maintaining a positive attitude and watching the scale remain still is driving me nuts......

Have a Great Day!

So you are saying you have lost 10#'s in5-6 weeks?  Hmmm, well if you had told me you did that eating your 3 meals plus snacks I would say 2 lbs is great.

The only reason I am doing what I am is in hopes of getting off as much as I can in less than 8 weeks.  I know, I know, but I know what works for me or at least did before.

I have only been doing this for 5 days and have "not" gotten on the scale yet.  Did you read my post from yesterday?  I was talking about how tempted I am, and don't want to fall in that trap thinking I should have lost x number of pounds and when the scale laughs at me I get discouraged and quit.

The key is exercise...what r you doing along with your eating?

Kathy,
Great plan!
I don't know about you, but I've been doing 3-4 protein drinks a day and I'm finding that I am feeling really good.  I haven't been popping Tums every hour plus I find that I don't graze through out the day.
You can do it Kathy!

 Hi Deb,

I dump on fats but sadly not sugar....  So the first day or so was rough but I am now feeling really good.  I love the protein I am using so it's not hard to do.  When I start lifting weights I will add in my protein foods, like tuna, egg whites, chicken breast and such.

And you are so right...if we would just learn to listen to our bodies.  When we eat clean the body is happy when we don't it's grumpy

Good Job Deb!!!!

Keep it going girl!
Take care,
Kathy

All good posts...I am in a similiar situation...I leave for Hawaii in three weeks so I started at about 8 weeks out BOT to lose 30#....Getting in 100 gms of protein, water and vits everyday faithfully....Not great in the excersize area....I work full time and have classes after work 4 of the 5 days....I have been going non stop and doing it while being big time iron deficient!  (got the iron issue under better control over the last 5 weeks) I have been doing no elevators at work...I walk quite a bit in my job...and have been doing 30 minutes walking on the treadmill only a handful of times.....Think that even with the calories very low...not intentional just cant fit much more than my protein in...eating every three hours....that excersize would make that scale wake up???

Have a Great Day!

 Hi Tammie,

So it's been 8 weeks to date?  Can you tell me what  you have lost so far?  You can PM me if you want.

I just know me and this is a trip of a life time and I know I will feel so much better if I get some of this weight off.

Take care,
Kathy
