My name is Julie and I had gastric bypass in June of 2007.  My start weight was 306 per the doctor and I lost down to 168 but over the past 9 months have gained back up to 194.  I know the cause (eating refined carbs and quit exercising).  I am a carb addict.  This week I have joined a gym and have been exercising an hour each day.  Tomorrow I plan to start tracking my food intake and eating good lean protein, salads (minus croutons and fatty dressings) and drinking protein shakes again.   I hope to get the almost 25 pounds back off and eventually get down to 145.

Julie,
Just wanted to wish you a warm welcome to BOTT!  Make sure that stop by each day and post your workout and meal plan on the Cardio/Cafe board.  It really helps you stay on track.  I look forward to reading your posts!

Welcome. I've had a recent injury and I am right there with you. (Not as much carbs but Red wine so same type thing.) We can do this. And I still am not able to exercise much but I know we can!

Julie - WELCOME   So glad you have chosen to join us   Let us know how we can be helpful.  Many of us find that posting daily on the Cardio & Cafe thread helps keep us on track.  You have a fine plan and there's no doubt you can reach whatever weight you'd like.  Maybe not as fast as you'd like (truth be told, we'd all like to wake up tomorrow at goal weigh LOL) but lose it you can.

WE CAN DO THIS TOGETHER - YES WE CAN

Again, welcome to our BOTT family
