BOTT 911 - Wednesday

I guess I will go first today.  I feel like my stress level is so high, my husband will need a putty knife to peel me off the ceiling.  I hurt my back snowmobiling last Saturday and I went to the doctor today because it keeps getting worse and is hurting in my legs when I walk now.  After checking me over, she prescribes a steroid pack, no problem until I get to the pharmacy.
Turns out these will make me crabby, retain water, hungry, red-faced and possibly swollen.  I just wanted to cry  right there, but I was in the middle of a serious hypoglycemia attack and thought I was going to pass-out in the pharmacy.  I just feel like saying "SERIOUSLY!?!, the last thing I need is those kind of side effects when I am trying to BOTT".  I am just an emotional and physical mess right now.  I just want to feel better before we go on vacation next week.  Bonus (not), doc said no skiing next week in Jackson Hole. I swear I wanted to reach out and touch someone about that time.  Does she realize we are going on vacation to ski?

Sorry for the long rant, I feel so much better from just letting it out.  Hope everyone is having a Happy Hump Day!

Jennifer,
Wow, the timing really stinks!  You really need to think about what's best for your health right now.  Perhaps you can call your Dr. and see if she can recommend something else.  On the other hand, you want to feel better while on vacation.  I'm sure that the side effects won't last forever and you can BOTT when you get back from vacation.  Just eat sensibly and bring a good book. ;)  I'm so sorry that this happened to you.
Try to take it easy!

I feel ya. My doc didn't tell me until after he injected me that it will make me "gain weight." And It added an extra 3 lbs.

Jennifer - Pain trumps temporary symptoms, but, gee whiz, the timing couldn't be worse.  So sorry you're having to deal with all of this.  You just come and "rant" any old time.  Our shoulders are broad and we care.

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone.  I feel 100% better today and in my head I know it is the right thing to take the meds because they are working great.  I put on my big girl panties today and told myself even though the meds might make me hungry it doesn't mean I have to eat.
