Happy Monday everyone!  I love waiting to post so I can read everyone else's posts first.  I love reading what everyone has to say!

Today started out very early with 2 sick children at 3 am.  So being tired and not grazing is a bit of a struggle for me today... but I can do it!

My goal today is to get all my water and exercise in.  I'm also trying to add more protein drinks as well.  I seem to remember them really helping me back in the beggining of this whole adventure. 

I walked for a mile this morning with my hubby and enjoyed the early spring we are having here.. I'm also going to walk again this afternoon with some girlfriends.

EARLY SPRING?  Where do you live, I want to move there!  I'm glad that you were able to get through the early morning with two little sickies.  I remember those days, they were always so rough.

Well usually this time of year we have about 12 inches of snow still left after many many  days of the icey white stuff.. but this year has been VERY different.  I think the rest of the nation got our snow!  We had maybe 2 or three days all winter where it actually snowed.  And today it was nearly 60 degrees.  I'm really enjoying it!   

I live in the middle of nowhere in North East Washington state... up in the mountains.  

They are feeling better tonight and I'm hoping to put them and myself to bed earlier!

Its so cool to see everyone so commited and diligent. I had one of those crumby days, you know, the ones that you wake up and say " today is the day" -but then you fall back to bad habits. I want to do a 2 week Atkins sort of deal, but wasn't prepared and ended up having carbs (4 crackers w/ peanut butter). Someone asked me if I gained weight!!! :(   I was heading to the gym but ended up turning around and getting a latte instead, felt defeated.

B- 6oz low carb protein shake
S- 4 crackers w/ PB
L- 4oz chicken breast w/ small green salad.
S- venti latte
D- 6 hot wing pieces w/ 2 tbs low fat/carb blue cheese
S- carrots

Might play Just Dance with my son, that counts as exercise right?

Playing "Just Dance" with your son sounds great!  I know with me, if I concentrate on my failures I just want to give up... but if I accentuate the good choices I make in a day, that helps me to stay motivated.  I'm sure you made some good choices today that you can pat yourself on the back for! Try to think of those things and praise yourself for that effort and then go from there.   That really helps me.

I made some bad choices this week, but I'm still getting into the habit of things too.. but the goals I did set for today (exercise and water) I'm doing great with... so I count it as a successful day.

Hi Everyone...

I'm back from a pretty rough month of business trips, vacations, recovering from H1N1, and basically having a crap time dealing with the day to day of living life.  Since I spent the last 5 days in bed barely eating, it was pretty simple to escape the grip of the Carb monster.  The scale showed it too (although I know it's mostly jus****er, it's a huge loss for a bad month.),  I made today my 'start fresh' day, and stuck on my plan with one minor falter (chocolate and peanutbutter is my constant downfall, it's now gone from my realm, and won't be returning unless it's a protein bar!)  and one miscalculation (didn't realize dinner was as calorie high as it was)

So, I'm back at it, and I'm glad to be here.  I am determined - and I've got a plan - and it IS going to work, I'm going to beat this, it will NOT beat me.  I'm sick of losing to my bad habits...so I'm starting to make new good ones.  

Breakfast and lunch for tomorrow are packed and ready to go, I'm going to go spend some time relaxing and getting ready for another hectic week, but I wanted to check in.  I miss all of you when I'm not here - and know that you're all a HUGE part of what helps me stay on track.

It's been so long since I've been on OH.. I'm recovering from shoulder surgery and am going to be off work a lot longer than I planned.. It's so wonderful seeing "oldtimers" here..This is just what I need.
