Hi BOTTers,

I'm feeling frustrated.  I've been sick with this junk for so long that I have been out of my normal routine. I has been VERY difficult to stay on track with my food and exercise. I do best when I have some structure. "This is what I do" type of mindset is best for me.  Being on auto-pilot as far as what I eat and what I do for exercise is where I need to be.  I know that sounds rigid and life certainly happens but it is a habit that I've created and it works for me!!

I'm torn between taking care of myself and being protective of my little bit of progress in getting over this crud and getting back to my routine.  I know I will get back to it but I'm impatient!!

I apologize for rambling a bit but I feel better just sharing this with you as I've typed this out.

BOTT POWER!!

Wow Cathy, I feel like I could have written this post. Thank you so much for sharing!

I'm just starting BOTT and I have to tell you all at all the rules and suggestions overwhelmed me a bit.  I wanted to follow them all so perfectly.. I ended up dropping them all together.  *sigh*  I think I will just try one rule at a time.. get it into a habit and then go from there.  What do you all think?  What helped you all to follow all the rules?

Yesterday I didn't drink my water and my hunger was just out of control.  I feel horrible, but instead of giving up I'm going to choose to be accountable here and keep going.   I've been on a few different forums on OH and this one feels the warmest and friendliest ever!

So maybe this week I will just work on Water and exercise.. and let the other things fall where they may..  I do notice that when I get all my water in, I'm not as tired and my and my cravings are cut by 75%.

Anyways.. thanks for reading and for the input you have already given me.. and for just being there.

I can do this!?  right?  ;)

Hi Shakeira,

You absolutely can do this! You can and WILL!

You described exactly what I tell members to do in getting back on track. Make a list of the things that describe what being on track mean to you. Take one thing per month. I would take the easiest of the items first. If it is not drinking with your meals, for example, take that. Do that one item of not drinking with your meals for one month. At the end of the month, take the next item. I suggest one month but some members prefer two weeks. Don't do it more frequently than two weeks because, as you eloquently pointed out, you can get overwhelmed and quit entirely. Do one item and then move on to the next, then to the next.... Before you know it, you will have mastered each item of being on track and you will be BACK ON TRACK!!

I might be an itsy bit biased but I agree with you in that this group is very warm and friendly. I have never been part of a group that is like BOTT. We are a close group and I consider the members that I've gotten to know as my BOTT friends. We will tell you like it is but not in a flaming way. This group has been around for coming up on a year and a half and we haven't had any problems or issues. That is because of the members and close bond we have. I am very glad you are now a BOTTer and part of our group. Welcome!! Post often so we can get to know you and you can know us too.

Take care and a great big BOTT Welcome!

BOTT POWER!  You've got it!
