I am about a year and a half out from surgery, and have lost 105 lbs from 279 to 162 being my lowest, but I have recently gained about 5 lbs and am FREAKING out!
I am making bad choices, stress eating and I could go on and on, I am terrified of going back where I started but I dont know where to start, it all seems so overwhelming and then I cant get it together!!!
HELP!!!

Hi Jessica,
I know the feeling, 5 years out and a gain of 35lbs this year. I have started back with my meeting and One of the ladies in my meeting brought in a book called the 5 day pouch restart. I did it and it has seemed to help get me back on track. You can look it up on line too. THat is were I found it. It tells you what you need to do and what to eat. I have only lost 3lbs in 2 weeks but I feel so much better. HOpe this may help!!
Hi Jessica,
Good for you that you are so aware that you are "freaking out" at five pounds. For many of us (me included!), it took more than five pounds to get my attention.
What is going on in your life? Many times when we go back to emotional eating and making unhealthy choices, it is due to managing our uncomfortable emotions or a situations. Check that out to see if that is what is going on. When I regained weight, it was most definitely due to managing my emotions with my coping mechanism that always worked before and that was emotional eating!!
Another thing is that you are 1-1/2 years out and that can be a time that you look good, feel good and you tell yourself that one less than healthy choice won't matter. Before you know it, you are on a roll of poor food choices. So, you can see it is good that the alarms are going off in your head at five pounds.
Go back to the basics of what you've done to lose 105 pounds already. Remove the trigger foods and make a list of things you can do other than eat when you feel stressed. Get on here and post, call a friend, take a walk, read a book - whatever works for you.
You can do this as you already have in losing 105 pounds!! BOTT POWER to you!
