The burn of a good workout
I was wondering about the workout burn. I like to feel sore the next day after a good workout. I want to feel my muscles burn when I bend and lift. This lets me know I did something with my body. I do the treadmill and I just do not get the same psychological feeling from doing more. Yesterday I did the crossfit.com workout of the day. The scaled down workout was what I ended up doing and I burn from elbow to knee!
3 rounds of
1 min wall ball (this is squats with a weighted ball that you throw up catch and go into a squat, come up and toss again, doing as many as you can)
1 min of pull ups on an assisted machine, doing as many as you can
Run on treadmill .06 miles
You have 6 minutes from start to start of each round, so your resting time depends on your run time. It took me about a minute to get to the treadmill and complete the run. This gave me 3 min rest between rounds.
The people in the place all looked at me like I was crazy going from the yoga room to the machine to the treadmill but it was worth the staring. I did my workout in 18 minutes and I got more from it than most 45 minute workouts. I am so going to stick with my crossfit workouts three days a week.

Good for you. You know what is best for you and your body!
