Feel Like I've Been Hit By A Bus...

For the past couple of months my energy level has continued to drop.  I am getting ample sleep and rest.  I wor****il 12:30am, and when I get home I sometimes watch TV until 2 or 3am.  I am back up @ 8am, and I lay back down around 12noon until 3p.  I am not an 8 to 10 hour sleeper, anything over 6 hours gives me a headache;  when I wake up I have to get up.  When I workout its like I've been hit by a bus.  I am taking my vitamins and calcium, but I want to know am I taking the right ones.  I am taking the following:

B-12 Sublingual 500mg @ 2 a day
Centrum Chewable Silver Multi-Vitamins 2 x a day (was taking Bariatric Advantage but ran out)
BA Calcium Chewables 3 x a day

Any suggestions??

Dreamgirl,
Sorry to hear you feeling so bad.  When was the last time you had your bloodwork done?  Maybe it's time to visit a doc.
Deb

p.s. If it's not medical, try some CLICK! ;)

That sounds good Deb...is it caffeine based.  I can't have caffeine..it causes lumps in my breast.

Dear Dream - this just doesn't sound like you at all.  Something isn't the way it should be I'm sure.  When I was having the same problem about 6 weeks ago, I learned I was seriously anemic.  My iron level was only about 1/2 of what it should be.  Don't know, of course, if that is your problem or not but I would suggest you have your blood work done ASAP and, even if it isn't time for your appt with your dr, call and tell him about your zero energy and ask if there's anything you need to be doing differently.

We have to get you back to your old self energy wise so we can get you to your new self weight wise!!!!!!!!

Keep us posted on your findings.  Maybe you have "snow-fever"??????   LOL

Hey Happy,

Snow fever, it just might be!  We're suppose to get another 6-20 inches starting tonight all day Thursday and ending on Friday.  That  is one of the reason's I changed my appointment to see thw surgeon, traveling and getting around has been difficult to say the least.  The city and the counties are doing their best to clear the roads its just we've never had so much snow back to back like this.

The city was shut down at one point, driving to a location and finding a place to park after you get there is out of the question.  They have even had to cancel public transportation...not that I'm going to ride the bus to where he is located it's too far.

Although I slept really good last night...I wouldn't have a problem crawling back into bed and sleeping the rest of the day until its time for me to go to work; it's 8:56am!  I have increased my vitamins to three times a day, and I have some iron suppliments that I got from BA when I ordered my vitamins and calcium the last time.  I'm going to see if that helps, I really hate feeling this way.

How about magnesium with your iron?  Iron is really tricky.  Vitamin D-3 increases the uptake of calcium.  Can you get your blood work done and find out the results from your dr by phone?  Extreme conditions require extreme solutions.

I've noticed their are a lot of articles recently on the importance of sleep.  The difference between 7 hrs and 8 hrs makes a significant difference in the probability of heart attacks.  And it also is important for weight loss.  I do know that not everyone "needs" 8 hrs - what I don't know is it their head or their body that they are using to determine their need.  But you said you get a headache if you sleep more.  That sounds like your body.  I wonder if you are getting the same benefit from interrupted hours that you would get from consecutive hrs.  So many questions - so few answers.

You might want to check out my theory on the C & C thread that our weather is the result of Groundhog Revenge.  LOL
