It seems more like FAMILY than a group. Thank-you for being here.  I am 5 years out from RNY and have lost over 130lbs. but I have put back on over 15lbs and counting  boy do I need this group. I wanted to give the 5daypouch test a try, has anyone tried it. I was going to buy the books?  I really know what I have to do is go back to the basics, writing every thing down.  I know now they fixed my stomach but not my head.

Thank-you again... Debbie

Welcome Debbie,
We do feel like Family here.  You are right they did fix our stomach's and not our heads!  You've already hit the nail on the head as far as getting back on track is concerned.  Go back to basics, journal everything down; food, feelings your ups and your downs. Exercise, water vitamins and rest.  As far as buying the book for the 5DPT...the same information is offered on the site, not much difference.  Just go to:
www.5DPT.com for all your information.  I have done the pouch test and do it periodcally only for 3 days at a time. It does help with restriction.

Debbie - So glad you've decided to become a part of "The Family".  The more the merrier.  I only wish when I began to regain some of my weight a couple of years ago I had gotten back on track at 15 pounds rather than 35 - but I didn't - The Family was just what I needed and now I'm not only back on track but am MAINTAINING for the first time in my life.

WE CAN DO THIS TOGETHER - YES WE CAN

Welcome Debbie!
I feel the same. This is a "family" and that's so much better than just a group! I've gained about 15 lbs back after almost 3 yrs postop. I haven't ever made it to goal. Actually I have just set a goal since I have been on this group. This family is just what I needed to get started and to actually care if I made it to goal.

I've been struggling myself mainly because of a crazy schedule and not setting my priorities. I have problems like a lot of us putting myself first.

Hang in there and welcome again!
Janie

Hi Janie,

Just as I wrote to the others on this thread, I agree that we are more than a group but there is a sense of family here.

So, I guess that makes you Janie BOTT!

Hi Debbie,

You are right! We are a family! Happy BOTT, Dreamgirl BOTT, now you are Debbie BOTT! LOL!

Personally, I have not done the 5DPT. I have heard mixed results on it. For some people, they report it works and others say it is nothing more than a fad.

I think the best thing to do is what you said and that is going back to basics. I know when I get off track, that is what works for me.

Cathy BOTT (LOL!)
