Hi BOTTers,

I needed to start this thread since no one else has yet.  I need it!!

I've been sick for days.  I mean SICK!  Despite my medications, I am not getting measureably.  Being sick is always a trigger for me.  I get bad sinus infections really easily and get really sick and it is hard to rebound and get better.  Another trigger is that I've gotten used to doing my Step Advanced on Wii Fit Plus for an hour, five days a week.  I haven't done that since getting sick last week.

I feel better just sharing that with you.  I am going to continue taking really good care of myself.  I know that this will pass but until then feeling so sick remains a trigger for me.

Thanks for "listening" to me!

Cathy

Good morning Cathy. I feel for your sickness. That's when I want to eat all the comfort foods; it's a big trigger for me.

Just get through this illness the best you can. Then you will be back to yourself in no time. I am sure of it!

I've been adding more time to my elliptical workout but have to be gentle with my right knee. So far, so good. I've split my workout time - 5 minutes in the morning and 5 in the afternoon. Each week I am upping my time. Eventually I will get back to my 35 minutes + daily for 6 days a week. I just have to start slow.

Today I am scheduled to see a clinical psychologist for my food addiction and Thursday my surgeon for follow-up. I'll be happy once these appointments are over. Stress, another trigger to overeat!

Have a wonderful day everyone.

Lucy

Hey Cathy,

I am so sorry this has happen to you "again".

It sounds like you have something toxic in your life that is draining you of your life energy.  You need to find a way to deal with it or get rid of it (yeah easier said than done).  Otherwise, you are going to continue getting sick, over and over again...

I am worried about you my friend

Take care,
Kathy

Getting sick is aways a huge fall for me. It is what triggered my whole downfall after surgery. That is why I went to the gym yesterday despite being sick.  I wish I had advice to give. But sometimes just listening and saying I understand is enough. I hope this is one of those times.

Cathy,

I know what you mean, being sick always gets me off track, too.

Focus on getting better and I really hope you get to feeling better soon.

Hugs,
Lisa
