Good Morning BOTT Family...

I don't know about you, but I've had enough snow to last me for a while.  Unfortunately, they're predicting more snow here in the Pennsylvania region startingTuesday night into Wednesday morning where we could get another 6 to 8 inches.....has anybody seen this thing we call Mr. SUN  enough already!

I've been MIA for about a week or so, been in a really  low slump knowing that my job is being out sourced  to the Philiphines and on April 8th after four years with this company I will no longer have a job.  I had hoped to ride this out until I got ready to sit down and at 61 years old I had no idea I'd be looking for work. I am doing better and this morning and for the first time in almost two weeks I am back on track.  It is truly amazing what stress and depression can do to us both physically and mentally.  It's been a real struggle.  Here's my plan for today....

Cardio:
Weight training
Treadmill

Food Plan:

EM - Chocolate Protein Shake
B -    Oatmeal w/ whey protein
S -    Chocolate Protein Shake
L -    Grilled Chicken w/ tossd salad  LF Italian dressing
D -    Tilapia w/ garlic spinach

Hope everyone has a Great BOTT day!

Sorry about the job situation.  I know how stress and depression can mess with our body and mind.  When you get the age it's hard to find the job.  Those three letter words just don't work in our favor.  Best wishes.

Dreamgirl, I am so very sorry about your job situation.  I too have been MIA for the last week due to work related stress and depression.  I have been put in the unfortunate position of giving out the pink slips.  My first one was a 70 yr old employee who is not ready for retirement.  She is a FANTASTIC employee and it made me sick for the 3 days before I had to inform her that the end of the month her job would end.

I really am not cut out for this.  It would be one thing if I had to let someone go for misconduct or work ethic, but there is not one employee under my supervision that is not FANTASTIC in every way an employer could want or expect.

I was only able to keep down protein drinks and cream soups for more than 4 days.  The stress caused my pouch to rebel BIG time.  But I did not loose not one ounce!

Today I am trying to get in as much soft food as possible so that I don't start depending on the liquid diet.  I am hoping the weekend will release some of the stress so I can function during the next work week and eat a more normal plan.

My thoughts and prayers are with you as you get through this difficult time.

Have a FANTASTIC weekend.

Thanks Goody for the kind words...you know, we knew something was coming, but we didn't kniw when.  The managers had been keeping there distance and not really interacting with us for more than a week.  It was so weird!  When they called me at home to tell me I was really surprised, and when I came in an told my coworkers that were not yet released not only were they surprised...they were angry!  Their are some loafers that they kept, and me a good worker with good work ethics and performance they let go.  Go figure!

I will enjoy my weekend the best I can...

Hi there I am new to this group.  I decided last week no more fooling around it was time to get BOTT.

I did lose 1 lb this week and so that is good, you have to start somewhere.  Tonight I am going grocery shopping so I can buy good things for me again, clear the pantry and get back down to the basics.  I was reading Cathy's list and although so simple and things we know, so hard to do at times.  But I made a promise to myself 10 years ago I would do this and so I need to live out that promise for life.

Hope to get to know ou all better and find out what the routine is in the cafe.

Have a great night.
