BOTT 911 - Thursday
I just love these days You wake up and the thing in the sky is so bright (have not seen it in so long not sure what it is) You think of warmth and happy things and then when you open the door and let the dogs out, BAM The wind chill here today is suppose to be zero..
If you are wondering why I talk about the weather so much it's my 911. I have to keep my mind focused as these things make me want to eat. At the end of my shift I want to snuggle in my blanket, in the lounge chair and jus****ch TV and eat. So, I have to be aware of this trigger for me. WINTER.

Well Kathy, I would say you are so normal here.
Winter is easy to slack off and depression sets in...we miss the sunshine!!!!!
In the winter, I'm the same, go home after work, put pj's on and snuggle up for the evening.
I make myself go to the gym before I head home in the Winter time.
I'm slacking this week...tomorrow stepdaughter is getting married and I have been super busy. Next week it's the gym every day after work...I'm making me the priority!!

You guys get hit with the lake effects so I can't complain. Seems if we get 2 inches you guys get 2 feet. Smart move about going to the gym before going home. I work from home and have a bag and treadmill so there are no excuses, but I do love to snuggle and eat...shhhhhh
A wedding? Fabulous..I think there might be one in my future. I think my son is going to get engaged this year. Now I really have to get in shape, no fat mother of the groom here baby!!!

Hi Kathy. It does look nice outside but it's cold!! When I leave for work in the morning, it's pitch black and so cold.
Yes, I would go home and snuggle under the blanke****ch TV and eat. That was my comfort.
Now I go home and have a hot beverage instead, plan my next day menu, prepare dinner and get my breakfast and lunch ready to go for the next day.
Nothing is eating me today. Just looking forward to the weekend.

I see you gave our group to a friend. Thanks We have to see how far we all are in IL from each other and see if we can get a meeting thing going. I always wanted to do a support meeting as going downtown to Northwestern was hard for me. Let's talk about it when the weather gets better...

What's eating me? Definitely the weather! Wow,here in Iowa it is actually 3 with windchill. Haven't seen that in a while.
I am having such a problem with will power!! Even went to gym last night,walmart to buy protein goodies and here I sit working in my home office this morning wanting something. I have had an egg casserole this morning and 16 oz of water. How do I get control of the constant need to eat?

Hi Jenn,
You are I are in the same boat, we have home offices. Try eating more protein more often and if you do don't drink with your meals.
If you haven't go to our Cafe and Cardio thread and not only post your foods but see what others are eating and that will help you.
Here is what I do, and I try and eat every 3 - 4 hours.
Oatmeal with a scoop of whey protein
almonds
grilled chicken salad or beef, LF cheese and SF pickle roll ups or cottage cheese with NS fruit
apple with peanut butter or protein bar or protein shake
Grilled protein, baked sweet potato with cinn and sweetner and butter spray and veggies
greek yogurt with SF strawberry syrup, strawberries, scoop of protein and museli

After several day of sunny days... the rain has returned to the Seattle area.... I was planning on walking during my lunch today... and I WILL... thats why God created raincoats with hoods! Or if it's too bad... I will walk the stairs in the building next door.... up and down 12 flights.
Even with all the sun we had this weekend... did I GO OUT IN IT???? NO... I sat around... grazed... and watched movies. Thankfully.... I have returned to BOTT!
