A great plan if you support each other at getting back on track.  You can be compliant and still eat out - and if eating out is important to you - DON'T GIVE IT UP. but don 't use going out and socializing as a guilt-free permission to pig out.

Take it 5 minutes at a time - at the end of each five minutes CELEBRATE success and go on to the next 5 minutes etc etc etc  You don't have to like it, you don't have to be comfortable - you just have to be a Nike Girl - JUST DO IT  Instead of giving in - come here and post.  It's amazing what diverting your attention for just a tiny time can do.  There's our 911 thread to ask for help and posting daily on Cardio & Cafe is a wonderful way to be accountable.  If we write down everything we eat, it's awesome the incentive it is not to eat it.

I've never known anyone to fall over dead because they did not give in to a craving - but folks do drop over dead from giving in to their cravings and becoming morbidly obese.  Love and respect yourself (and your friend too) more than than

Go to the guidelines posted at the beginning of our discussion page.  It is so easy to fall back into old unhealthy habits.  Make it your checklist.  Don't try for instant perfection.  Pick on or two behaviors you need to change and come he*l or high water don't let yourself down - begin reinstating the healthy behavior you've abandoned.  You'll be so proud of yourself

YOU CAN DO THIS  We've all "been there & done that' or we wouldn't be here.

Post often.  When we help another, we also help ourselves.  Please allow us to share your journey

Hi Jenny,

Welcome, we are so glad to have you here.  I hate these words but you need to take it one step at a time.  Be sure and print the list of basics and then go through them and note what you are not doing.  Incorporate one at a time until you are doing all the basics again.

Trust me, even the little things make such a difference.

We are here for you, all the way

Take care,
Kathy
