My first week of being BOTT has brought me 4 lbs down. One thing that I have figured out this week is that I tend to drink during my meals! I have to work on that. I figured that out but jus****ching what I did this week and I've fallen back into that habit and it definitely allows you to eat more.

I'm off from work for the next week so I plan on really diggin in my heels and getting some better habits started, beginning with not drinking with my meal. I've got the 'PROTEIN FIRST" ingrained in my brain. It's like starting all over again! I have accepted that I will never be able to eat like I used to which of course is what got me to WLS in the first place.

Here's thanks to everyone here! Vanilla wafers be #$%$!!!!!

Keep up the healthy habit routine.  YOU CAN DO IT - YOU ARE DOING IT

About 2 yrs after I reached my goal I gained about 30-35 pounds (this site is how I got back/stayed on track, not only reached my original goal weight, but lowered my goal 5 pounds and am MAINTAINING for the first time in my life (I'm 77 so that's a lot of not maintaining LOL)

It's not unusual to do that because tha's when FOREVER takes on tangible meaning.  No we can't ever eat the way we used to - well actually we can, but if we do we have to accept that we want to look the way we used to. 

Again, CELEBRATE  and keep up the healthy ways

Hi Janie,

We are so proud of you    It's not funny but we do get off track and it's the little basic things that trip us up.  Take the list of back to basics we created for you and print it out.  Go down and check all the things you need to get back to.  Then one by one add them into your daily life.  You are well on your way and again WAY TO GO
