OK, this is where it starts getting ugly    This is why old people move to where there is no snow    It's snowing and snowing and snowing and I am so sick of the color of white, no sun and the dogs looking at me like I am crazy for asking them to go pee in the freezing weather.

You don't want to get out of the warm bed, much less go to the gym, and workout.  If you do move it's at the speed of a slug, and comfort foods are calling your name.  We live miles away from cracker barrel and I hear them calling Kathy, Kathy, Kathy...they are known for their comfort food.

I am in my office that is decorated like the beach/ocean and looking out through the plantation shutters and there just is something so WRONG with looking through plantation shutters and seeing freakin snow

It's going to be a loooooooooong day.

So you guys know where my head is at    What's making you want to eat today?

Take care,
Kathy

That is why I moved to SC.  But I too need spring.  I got so used to sun and warmth, that this cold is getting to me.  But for me - this time - I have to make myself eat.  And sometimes that feels like it is worse than being hungry.  Since I know that if I do not eat - my metabolizm will slow down, and then when I start eating - I will gain weight.  Stupid depression.  That too shall pass. The sun will shine, and life will be better soon. (or else)

Done and done.  And a spare bathroom, and a room of exercise equipment...
When are you coming?

Hi Kathy. It's not the snow that's giving me the feeling to eat. It's the aggravation of calling people on bills that I don't owe them anything. Took care of 2 of them; I have one left to handle.

The banana-nut muffins in the Doctors Lounge are calling me but I am not answering the call.

The snow is good for a workout. So I am pleased to take advantage of the calorie burner! I am a summer person too and am sick and tired of the cold and snow. Our time is coming.

Oh Lucy,

You are so right.  My husband and I have this converstation often.  There is no customer service any longer and we feel they do these things on purpose because the majority of people just pay it instead of jumping through the hoops of getting it right.  DirecTV was a nightmare for me.  I had to call every month due to my bill being wrong.

Hang in there and just picture those muffins glued to your hips this summer

Take care,
Kathy

Kathy - You hit the nail on the head.  That's exactly why this old person moved to Florida 13+ years ago  and I havn't regretted a minute of it - even when hurricanes raise their ugly heads!!!!!! And now I'm really spoiled as I'm freezing and it's rainly, windy, and in the low 50's.  Then I remind myself, compared to the rest of the nation, we're having a heat wave.

I told my daughter if I ever get Altzheimer's to put me in a care facility because it can tear familes apart trying to provide care - and if she needed to bring me to Indiana to do it  She said, "Oh mom, don't worry.  I'll just tell you the snow is white sand and you'll be happy.

It's what's keeping me from wanting to eat - knowing if I don't keep my thinking straight and stay on track after my foray into never never eating land a couple of days ago, I will G A I N and I sure don't want to do that  MAINTENANCE is wonderful - but, oh my, a lot of work because it's FOREVER (forever = endless).  It's really worth it though!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My husband and I bought the house we are in now with a 5 year plan.  Make enough to move to FL  We love the gulf side between Sarasota and Englewood.  Well...we NEVER dreamed the housing market would tank so we are stuck here.  We just decorated and with the way things are, we will be here for a very long time.

So send pics often my friend, sniffle, sniffle

I am at home because of the snow also.  I think I may also be using it as a way to let people I work with know that I am an important part of our lab.  "Gee, I didn't realize that everyone elses research depended on my work!"  Duh, yes I did!  Now maybe others will be reminded of it.  Let's hope I don't get fired over it.

Whats making me want to eat badly today?  I think it is because I am trying to get back on track.  Mainly watching the carbs closely, they really make me crave more.
