Do I have to go out in the snow

I do not even want to get out of bed let alone go out into the snow to get groceries or the prescription pain meds for my neighbor that got drunk and fell last night.  He cracked a rib and his wife is out of town so I got to take him to ER! I didnt mind doing it, I am just tired and do not want to go out in the snow. Is food and medicine that important?

Hi Scentsy Girl.

I had 4 fractured ribs and can tell you that YES, he needs the medication; food - well - can go without it for a while but need protein for healing. Fractured ribs are so painful.

I'm sure he will appreciate your help! Just be careful in the snow and don't get into an accident.

I braved the snow but my Daughter is going to have to borrow the neighbors snow blower to clear the drive and then chip the ice because I drove over it so it is packed down now. I was just to lazy to shovel. I got his meds and food for my week. I only spent 101.75 on 5 days of lunch, dinner and snacks for my house of 4.  I even got 4 ocean spray juices for the kids and hubby. I was impressed because I shopped at the expensive store.. it was closer to the house.  I forgot milk but we can survive a day without milk.  I feel good to be back on track!!  Thanks for all the support.

You are brave to venture out in all your ice and snow.  Sounds as though you were rewarded with some bargains - or maybe it was wise shopping on your part.  Whatever it was, good for you!!!!  Please be safe and warm.

I sure know how you feel. I work from home so I do not have to go out often in all of our snow and cold temps. I was happy when my daughter got her license on the 18th of Jan. She then fell on 23rd - broke her ankle in two places. Had surgery on 29th and it has just started from there. She was so sick on the 2nd thought it was from pain meds. Dr called in RX and she was sick again on 4th so back to family doctor instead of surgeon. She had a bad UTI and I thought ok, antibiotic and we will be fine. Weekend was ok but was told if she got sick again to bring her back. Well, Monday getting ready for school she was sick again. So, back to doctor and lab tests and ultra sound today. So now we have appointment in the morning with a surgeon to discuss results. Gallbladder!! Oh my gosh, I would much rather be taking neighbor to ER or out picking up pain med for drunk neighbor than to have my daughter go through this.So back to the point I am back to driving her to school and picking her up which means I am back out in the snow and cold. I have been reading yoru post and am interested in knowing what foods you eat and how you are staying focused. You are doing great and enjoy reading your posts.
