But I was wrong!  I thought that I would be okay home with my DH this weekend and I just lost control.  I am cleaning out the pantry now to rid myself of temptation.  I hope I did not undo all the good from this past week.  I am ready for this week to start!  I will be meal planning today and making a shopping list once the pantry and fridge are cleaned out.

We have food storage whi*****ludes pasta and rice and such it is for emergency and for when we do pot lucks and such that I cook non RNY food for.  I am moving it all to the garage so it is not staring me in the face!  Chocolate chips should not be in the kitchen pantry!!!

I usually do better at home on the weekends but this weekend was a disaster; at least yesterday was. I went to the German deli to get superbowl food for my husband and his friends. They always have german deli meat and hard rolls with german potato salad. I went to the bakery that was next to the deli and bought cake and jelly filled donuts. What was I thinking? I only bought 1 piece of cake and 2 donuts. I ate 1/4 of the cake and 1/3 of the jelly filled donut before my husband and daughter ate the rest.
I know what you meen by food staring at you from the pantry. My husband bought a box of Capatain Crunch the other day. We have been married over 13 years and he has never bought that before. It was one of my trigger foods and to see it every day was driving me nuts. I said if I see it one more time I am throwing it in the compost pile. He threw it away, he did not realize how it bothered me.
I keep the carb stuff for others out on a shelf in the garage; out of sight out of mind; usually.
I need to plan meals for the next few days a swell; thanks for the reminder. Hope we all have an in control and balanced week!

Hey Mary.. I got all the pasta and rice mixes and such that we have all in the garage as well as all but two containers of cereal. One for kids and one for husband. Cereal is not a big deal to me. I never really ever ate cereal.  But I am tired of the kids opening up several boxes so now there is one open tupperware filled cereal container for them and for the DH.  The pasta is mostly dreamfields but I still avoid it. I usually just use it for when we have company, cheap and easy for a crowd.  I cleaned out the fridge and planned the meals for the week.

Lunches

Southwest Chicken Salad

Meatball Salad

Crunchy Pea and ham Salad w/ String Cheese

Green Salad w/ Spinach Artichoke Casear Pizza

Green Salad w/ BBQ Chicken Pizza

** The pizzas are on Orowheat Sandwich Thins. I use one half and make a small english muffin size pizza

http://www.sandwichthins.com/  Pretty good on the nutrition and I like it better than tortilla pizza. Just toast it a bit then add toppings and toast to melt cheese. Yum!

Dinners
Kababs with zucchini and pineapple
Chicken with spinach and artichokes Casserole with garden salad
Philly Cheese Steak Casserole With garden salad
Parm Chicken with anti pasta salad
Date Night for Me! , Prime Rib, Steamed Crab Legs and Broccoli  DH and I share one meal it is fab! We will walk down town also just to look in the shops. Good Times!!

Planning's a MUST for me and just not having tempting foods around (or if it's a must to have them) keeping them out of sight.  Both of you are thinking and acting healthy!!!!   Good for you.
