Dreamgirl,
Where can I get the Perdue Roasted Chicken shortcuts? I'll try Publix. They have some things like this. I just need something I can take "on the go". That sounds like a much better choice. I ended up not getting anything because I left for work too late. I had a protein shake instead. We were so busy last night that I had a protein shake and some Revival chips. This morning when I got home I had a 1/2 serving of Malt-O-Meal with 1/2 scoop of protein for a total of 16 gms of protein. I'm off for the next few days so I can do some food prep for the weekend, in which I'm working Fri, Sat and Sun. This will give me a chance to get my plan together to get back on track.
Thanks,
Janie

For some reason, the last couple of days, I have been in a carb overload.  Craving, craving, craving.  Even with planning the day, I have found those darned carbs!  :(

Sooo....this is an idea I had.  Let me know what you think.  I am taking the granola and the organic cheese puffs, and measuring and weighing them, then putting them in baggies (1 serving each).  That way, I KNOW what I am eating as I grab it.  No guessing.

I am also tearing my refrigerator apart, along with my pantry, and putting all of the high protein foods within easy reach, instead of in the drawers or out of the way, so that when I am ready for something I can get foods that are high in protein and low in carbs.

Any other ideas?  I have to get back in the habit of forgetting about the crunchy carbs and focusing on the good, healthy foods!

Cindy - you're thinking HEALTHY and that's great   Do you really need those high carb foods at all?  Might want to give some serious thought to tossing them out.  Sometimes we have to decide how we're going to spell it - WASTE = throwing them out    WAIST = eating them and gaining or plateuing.

Keep up your healthy thinking AND your healthy behaviors.  I'm so proud of you

Aww, thanks.....and GOOD POINT!  It's funny, when they aren't around, I crave them, but it eventually goes away....so that is the plan!  Thanks for the ideas and for the support!!!  :)
