BOTT Challenge for January - Weigh In Friday
Hey Everyone
We have completed 3 weeks of this challenge good or bad we have done it for 3 weeks The scale did not move for me but let me tell you what has moved. ME!
I am now getting in all my water (A big issue for me), not drinking with meals, (something I have not been able to do in a year), I am back to the gym on a regular basis and baby it feels so good, sore muscles and all. My eating is good, I have good days and bad, but more good than bad.
Being accountable here and to all of you have forced me to make some really good choices and I thank you all so very much.
Instead of posting my food and exercise, I want to ask you a question? Do you want to do this next month? If so, what do you want the challenge to be?
Come on in and be accountable and give me some suggestions and ideas WE want this to be a positive thread that motivates and inspires you. BTW do you know how many days till summer, swim suits?

I'm glad to hear how good you feel, and its ecouraging to see that even though the scales didn't move this week, you sure did and are so proud of it!
I have had a fairly good last few days, although I didn't get to hop on the scale today because of crazy construction going on at mom and dad's. There were guys with power tools everywhere and frankly, they don't need to see me in my birthday suit on the scale. I do feel good today, cheery and ready to tackle the day. I'm going to focus on getting fluids in and reducing my portion sizes today and this weekend. My husband pointed out that perhaps I am eating good for me food, but my portion size isn't nearly what it should be. I agree with him.
I would love to do this again, even if I wasn't successful this month as I wanted to be, I think I can next month. I also think we should change it up a little, like lose an inch or make that wasitband looser, or something to that effect. The end result we desire is still there, but we challenge ourselves in different ways.

We are so proud of you With all that is going on around you, we think you have done a great job Remember we talk about baby steps with getting back on track. You are paying closer attention to "what" you are eating, next month work on the portion part.

Hello, yes, another week under the belt....ok, maybe less is under the belt. My scale did not move this week but since I have consistently lost weight for the last 6 weeks, I'm not a bit surprised, I really was expecting it to have happened a week or two ago. I really am not upset about it because I know I did good and it will eventually show up.
Any type of goal will be good for me, except the weight thing next month, I am having reconstructive surgery on Feb 4th and from all of the posts I've read there are a lot of people that show a weight gain from swelling for a few weeks. So I will need to stay off the scale and just be sure to follow all the rules, I also won't be able to excercise. I do know that no matter what, just checking in and being accountable is what is helping me. I do think I should not have dropped off of this site for those 4 or so years that I did, I wouldn't have had this gain, I think I just needed the support that I get from everyone here. Even if it isn't me they are responding to, reading others is like reading it as applied to me. (summer - to many days away, Spring break in Florida - 41 days ! )

Maybe we can come up with a montly "accountable" thread where we can post what ever we want to, food exercise and also what is tripping us up.
OMG, only 41 days Well, if you live here then spring can be as cold as winter so we go for the summer count

I really can not believe it has been 3 weeks already. I really think this accountability has helped me focus on myself. Thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of your lives.
I would love to continue in any way that is acceptable to the rest.

During the last 3 weeks, I have discovered that regardless of a RMR testing, I need to keep my calories around 1200-1300 to lose. The RMR result was 1460 and the nutritionist suggested I keep my calories at 1600-1800 depending on activity. That was not working for me. I also found that if my protein was around 100 grams/day I felt a lot more lively. My carbs need to be monitored and any simple carbs eliminated to be successful.
Without this challenge, I would have still been clueless, for this I thank all of you and your encouragement and support.
Week #1 -6.5

Week #3 -3.5
I am very happy with a 10 lb loss over 3 weeks. I know that I need to be very mindful next week to keep the 3.5 loss from this week since I had the stomach virus in the earlier part of this week.
My food plan for today is as follows:
1. Atkins Protein bar
2. strawberries and cheese stick
3. roast beef and cheese roll-up
4. hummus and carrot slices
5. omelet
6. click/chocolite/soy shake
Calories 1298
Carbs 62
Fat 66
Protein 109

We come here daily to be accountable.. Like checking in and having a support group daily. We post food, exercise and what ever is happening. We encourage each other and give good swift kicks when needed.
If you have not done so, take a look a the docs to help you get back to the basics and we encouage you to make a list of all the things you need to do to get back on track, then all the things are you not doing. Take one or two at a time and insert them back into your life....

Hi, Thank you for answering my post. I have a question. You told me to take a look at the docs to get back on track, what are docs?
I had my surgery about 7 yrs ago. I lost 100#, but never lost all that I needed to. I gain 10 to 15 #, thought it was a success, but last year I started gaining weight and can't stop. Pouch is still small, I eat about 3/4 to a cup of food to fill me, but I graze all day, all I ever think about is food, I don't eat right, I don't do any protion, I don't excerise, all this has been going on for a year and I can't seem to get myself going in the right direction. I gusee I have gained about 50 # in a year. I am sooo embarrsed, and mad at myself. I don't know where to start.
