Natural Peanut Butter

Just thought I would mention... in case others love peanut butter (yes it's more fatty) BUT when I have those terrible hunger cravings... I have a tablespoon of natural peanut butter. (like smuckers no sugar added)... You don't have to worry about the sugar and it just seems to still satisfy... plus has your protein in it. I remember I used to always have a jar in my desk. I don't know about some of you, but I get the most AWFUL hunger cravings that just knock me on my behind sometimes. They are terrible... So in lieu of the sugar and bad stuff... a tblsp of PB use to help me out.  It's not dense or anything of the sort... for me it's really strictly for those terrible hunger cravings. Seems to help!

I love peanut butter too, but what I really wanted to share is that I too sometimes feel that same way at work.  Just recently I've come to realize & accept that most of the time it's because I'm working on something I don't like or rather not do at all.  It could something new that I'm nervous about doing.  I always have a tendency to want to reach for "food" to comfort me.  -- I have to say, I'm getting a little better about it, because now I see what I'm doing.  The hunger craving/sensation is so intense that it's hard for me to recognize, but I'm working on it.

Give it a shot next time you feel like you want something to snack on at work.

Ah, Lisa - this is exactly where I'm at. I'm struggling to let these cravings pass without giving in to them - it's a Battle Royale every day... Elizabeth, I love peanut butter and one of my favorite snacks is a smear of it on a crunchy piece of celery. Have a great day everyone. Maureen

I know what you mean about "Battle Royal", happened to me yesterday, after I posted this.  Can you believe that?  I lost the battle yesterday, and I was SO unhappy with myself.

What's great, Maureen, is that today is a new day and I can dust myself off and try again.  Things at the office should be calm and quite today so my main goal for today is to commit my meal plan and stick to it, no matter what comes up.

I'm up early this morning to squeeze in my exercise so that's a great start.  I've had a pretty good week, over all, and the scale shows it this morning.  I've got my head in a good place so here I go again.....

Thanks for the post, helps me stay on track.

No, what is PB2? What brand and where can I get it? What is it?

For some reason my computer at work kept blocking me out of this site so didn't get back to you as soon as I wanted to.

In my opinion, PB2 is a gift from heaven.  Just google it as it has to be ordered.  It is a powdered peanut but that tastes a whole lot like peanut butter but with way less calories and fat - just mix the powder with water.  It only comes in the smooth consistency.  It comes in regular and chocolate.  Being convinced the only food ABSOLUTELY essential to life is chocolate (LOL) I thought I would like the choc PB2 better - but I don't.  One serving is 54 calories.  Since I long ago decided putting peanut butter on a cracker, bread or whatever was a waste of calories, I just eat it with a spoon - but if you are more civilized it does spread just like regular peanut butter and can be put in celery too.  I like a bit more water than it calls for as I like it creamy.

If you decided to order some, let me know how you like it.  Hope it is as much of a treat for you as it is for me.
