Monthly challenge

Apparently I can't hang in there for a month long challenge.  I think a weekly challenge is as far as I can go at a time.  A month is just too long for me right now.  Maybe we could run two challenges...
I know it doesn't seem to make sense.  I could just start over if I have a bad day.  Thats now how my brain thinks.  I've messed up the challenge therefore it's over til the next one.  Does this make sense to anyone?

It makes perfect sense to me.  Sounds like you had a bad food day and you want to "throw in the towel".  This is why we are here, to support each other.  I've had days when I feel like I'm completely out of control and I hate just how hopeless it makes me feel.  Dust yourself off and start over, right now. Do it one meal at a time, if you need to.

On good days, this is what I tell myself to keep "my brain" in check.

How about even if it is a monthly challenge, you just take it as a week at a time, break it down, so it was supposed to be 5 % loss for the month, ok, so make it 1.2 percent for the week, just aim for a weeks goal, if you make that YAY, you made your goal.  It doesn't have to be the whole month, just whatever works for you.  It is just to try and help us all keep on track, we all aren't going to be perfect and have a great month, but if we had one out of four weeks that were successful and that is one more week then the month before, WOW, that was great ! !

Long goals aren't made for everyone.

Of course it doesn't make sense - but we are human beings and making sense is far from the minimum dailyh requirement!!!!! LOL

Even though we call it a "monthly challenge" - feel free to call it a "daily challenge"  that way you can start fresh immediately.  WE CAN DO THIS TOGEHTER - YES WE CAN

I understand.
Having issues with what I really want.  (1) I am satisfied eating good foods totalling around 1200 to 1400 calories.  My body will not easily let the weight go unless I only intake 800 to 900 calories.  I am feeling starved though.  Also, I am trying to do this without getting a fill.  I enjoy the variety of food choices I have at this fill level.  My problem.  My goal weight is 40 lbs lighter than I am.  At 20 lbs lighter I look really nice.  It feels like I'm working well but getting no where.  Of course I am happy to be over 70 lbs away from where I was.  Go figure????
I haven't given up on myself or the challenge but just unhappy right now about the weight.  I can't have it all but I want it.

Awwwwww sweetie, the challenge was not meant to make  you feel bad about yourself.  It was a way for us to come together and help each other.  You are not a failure by any means.

Do this for me, on the days you feel were good ones, go back and make notes of what was good about the day?  Not just food or water or exercise but what was going on for you, what were you feeling?  Then go back and look at the days you feel were not good ones.  Make notes on what were you feeling, what was going on that lead to you having a "bad" day.

Let's start there and PM me if you want to discuss....

You are a winner in my book!!!

Take care,
Kathy
