Hi, all. I am having trouble getting back on track. Wasn't there a guideline/paper on jump starting your weightloss? Seems like it was mostly protein supplements. Anybody hear of that?? Can you put up a link?

If you check the top of our discussion board, you can see stickies posted by Cathy called "BOTT Guidelines"... those are a great start, but you'll find that different things work for different people. www.5daypouchtest.com seems to be a popular one, I also like personally to try the Stage 1 of the Atkins diet (ketosis) for myself, others like to stick to fluids for a few days, others kick-start their exercise routine. You know your body best, so you should take some reflection time and figure out what has been successful for you in the past.

Welcome to the group, I look forward to hearing from you!

Hello Ladies,

I too was searching for some way to get back on track.  This site is so awesome and so inspiring!  I wanted to share a product that has been helping me tremendously get back on track.  It Works Marketing has an Ultimate Body Applicator that is outstanding!  Seeing was believing for me as I'm a skeptic whenever it comes to these types of things.  But I read about a gal named Faith from LA who had gastric bypass and has lost 45" using these products!  So, I had to try it myself right?  So...I have used four body applicators and have lost 15" off my ab area!  I'm just thrilled with the results and it has given me the inspiration to start working hard again to be healthy.  Feel free to email me if you have any questions.  I'm so excited!  I will be a guest speaker at a local Weight Loss Surgery group meeting in February or March to share what I feel is a fantastic tool to add to post op goals.  I started taking before pictures now so in the future I hope to share those so the results can be seen first hand.  There are many testimonials especially Faiths!  Take care and I look forward to being a part of this wonderful group!!

Thanks for posted the pouch test website. I have just returned to this site after a 3 year absence. I am 5 years out and had gone from 393 to 190. A year-long battle with cancer three years ago has left me struggling to get on track. During that year I was told eat, eat, eat to keep from losing too much weight and unfortunately everything that stayed down was carb loaded. Now that I have celebrated two years cancer free, I am comitted to get the 60 pounds I have gained in the past two years. The pouch test is exactly what I need. To all who are tempted -- once you start down the carb road -- it hard to get off it! Thanks to all who post on here -- just like when I was researching the subject and in the year following my surgery you provide motivation, guidance and information that is much appreciated!
