Hey Everyone,

The sun is shining again today and we are hooting it up here in IL.  Getting the lawn chairs out and grill started   I don't care what anyone says I do think the lack of sun effects our energy and mood.  Thanks for sending sun shine our way

So yesterday was a good day food and exercise wise

Hey all,

I just don't get it. I thought I had a bad day, I was naughty and had pizza at lunch. But I chugged water like crazy. I even had a rough evening on the calorie-drink monster. Yet, this morning, I woke up and was 2 lbs down (6.5 to go to reach challenge weight). How does that work?? On days I do right, eat right and move, I gain, on bad days when I consumed too many calories, I lose? I don't get it. Maybe it has something to do with what Happy was saying about actually having to eat more calories to lose weight? I must have had something like 1500-2000 calories yesterday. Wierd. Anyhoo, I'm going to keep chugging the water today and hope that this loss sticks and continues in that downward motion. Only 17 days left to meet my challenge!

Do you know about DeGirno (sp?) 200 calorie frozen pizzas?  come 2 to a box.  It may be that you don't reap the rewards of either compliance or non-compliance the next day so that on ggod/gain days it's actually what you ate on non-compliant days and vice versa.  nd it may well be with the added calories spent in remodeling (pretty exciting what you've accomplished!) you do need more calories to lose.

I find if I weigh everyday I would drive myself insane.  Just keep in mind as you weigh a lot of factors can contribute to the gain or loss.  Just keep the big picture in mind....  You are really doing awesome and we have several weeks to go!!!!!!

Take care,
Kathy

I agree, the sunshine is wonderful but I am seeing gray skies on the horizon, hope I'm wrong.  Sounds like the punching bag helped you Kathy !  Glad you are feeling in great spirits today.  Sion, I do the same thing, I think fluctuating my calories helps me I go from a low of 800 up to 1300 somedays, I think that keeps my body guessing...LOL.

OK, BOTT:
Yesterday was good

Well we send our weather your way so hang on, the sun shine is coming over the lake towards you

We are doing something to feel better and feel in control.  Again we have to not let a number on the scale be the only measure of success.

Keep it going

Hello everyone!

Good day yesterday.  I stayed within all my limits.  But that scale is not moving.  Need your all input.  I weigh on a Healthometer scale that is near acurate to the Dr.'s scales.  It just does weight only.  A couple years ago I bought a Taylor scale that measure weight and body fat %.  I drug it out to use for bf% and some days it weighs me 2 1/2 pound more than the Healhometer and one day it was 4 1/2 lb. more.  I really don't feel the Taylor scale is correct.  What brand/type of scales do you all use?

Healthometer makes a weight/body fat % scale and thinking about investing in it.  If I had the $$$$$$$ I would get one like at the Dr.'s.  I like that scale.  :)

And I do strongly feel the sunshine affects my moods.  The sun is shining in and I feel wonderful!

Wishing everyone a wonderful blessed day.......and keep up the good work.

Janet

If you are eating clean and exercising good things will happen.  Maybe for our next challenge we have to hide the scales for 30 day

I have a doctors scale in my basement, if you watch Craigs list and businesses going out of business you can get one really cheap.

I had a body fat scale and it drove me nuts!!!  Most members post they own a Tanita scale.  Again, don't get hung up on the number game. If you are feeling good and feeling good about your choices that is worth it's weight in gold (no pund intented).

Take care,
Kathy

OMG!  taking the scales away would be a challenge.  I admit......I am addicted to them.  But that would be a good challenge.......that would be true challenge for me.

Thanks for the advice and suggestions.  Maybe I will just stick to the scales I have.  Weigh on one and Body Fat % on the other.

Tomorrow is Friday weigh-in!  I sure do hope those scales moved.........at least a litte.

Janet

Have a blessed day!

Am checking back in....

I haven't logged a thing since Monday - and yesterday I ate crap.  Today I'm feeling it - I'm all bloaty and bleh...not a good way to come off of the flu.  I will tell you, I'm hoping to shake whatever this is and get back to being perky.

They say that it takes 21 days to build a good habit...so I'm keeping that my focus.  For the next 21 days, I will focus on ME.  (And this challenge *G*)

This weekend, my inlaws will be in town, and my MIL is a stringent low/no carb eater - so I always learn at least a few things when she's in - and I tend to behave too :)  I'm looking forward to the visit - we're making a lentil soup on Sunday - and that should be yummy!

I have nothing to post for yesterday, but at the end of the day today, I'll post my MFP stats - I'm also taking pictures of everything I eat today with my iPhone - and will blog that on my website :)
