OMGo****'s sunny here today and it's going to be a heat wave...I think we are going to be well into the 30's.... where are my shorts?

Well yesterday was a hoot, I did well in the morning but by the time I took the 3rd call from family members looking for help I could not give them I went to the fridge.  Thankfully I didn't have a ton of bad stuff in the house, but grazed during the day and  worst thing I did, was NOT log my food

I went downstairs after work and hit the bag for a long time.  Didn't time it just beat the crap out of it and it really, really helped me feel better.  Do you ever have those days where you just want to hit something?  No you are not a violent person but just want to hit something.  Well I did    Feeling better today, have eaten my oatmeal and going to the Y today...

So my friends, come on in and be accountable good or bad and let's help each other stay on track

Take care,
Kathy

Well Hi everyone! I'm new to the BOTT group and man - do I ever need to do this. I'm trying REALLY REALLY hard to stop my non-stop carb grazing and to lose this 30 pounds I've put back on in my post-op years. I'm also started the Couch to 5k program this past monday. I'm still struggling with the water intake and making sure I get enough of it.. better - not great.
Anyway - I'm going to the gym at lunch - and tomorrow I'll be doing the biggest loser workout on the Wii.
How's everyone else?

Hi Sally,

I am a fixer and that is why I got into Weight loss coaching as I think this is something we all share within our community.  It's unrealistic but I want everyone to be happy and fix everything and I can't....

You are doing great girl    Keep it going

Take care,
Kathy

Well I had an unexpected surprise yesterday on my way home. Rather than having chili, my husband took my mom and I out to dinner at my FAVE mexican resturant. I was good, as I only had like 200 calories to spare. I got chili con carne, which in their menu is really just shredded stewed beef with spices. I ate about 3 oz of that with some hot sauce and baked corn chips and after some shopping, had a few more bites later on. It was ALL protein. I could have done much much worse with rice and other stuff, I think.

Today I am aiming my sights for outside. I need to walk, I need to move. I'm practically sprinting anywhere I have to go to at least try to work my body a little harder. No change in weight yet, but its only day two of non-caloric drinks at night. We'll see how it goes.

BTW, Kathy, your suggestion of eating before work seems to be helping my snacky feelings during the day. I don't feel obligated to eat at noon now, especially after eating at 10 when I get to work. Like I said, no physical changes yet, but mentally its helping me figure out the right sort of schedule. Thanks for the suggestion!

Way to go on the Mexican restaurant and good choices. I know it's hard this is one of my favs.

Yeah I know they say just move but you have to move enough to raise your heart rate in order to burn fat.  Good for you making that note to self and doing something about it.

I am glad the suggestion is working.  I know for me, if I eat every 3 hours, protein first I am not hungry during the day and it really helps me with night eating.

Sometimes we need to judge our successes other than a number on the scale.  You are feeling better, feeling better mentally (and with all that is going on with the house this is a stressful time).  You are eating better and making better choices.  So, I think you have been very successful my friend

Keep it up and see ya tomorrow

Good Afternoon all,

I was able to stay on track yesterday with my food but there is a lot of drama here at the office and last night I only got about 2 hours sleep.  Ms. Picky Pouch and I do not deal will with any kind of stress or emotions, so today I am making my food choices as I go.

So far today I have tried to stay on track with yesterday's food plan and I have even got in 26 of the 30 minutes I planned on the gazelle this morning.

I do have to pat myself on the back, this is the first time I did not even think of using food to smother my emotions.  I am actually allowing myself to feel and not smother those feelings.

Well back to work while I still have a job, for which I am very grateful.

Hope you have a WONDERFUL hump day!

Awesome Goody

BTW, a pillow works really well for beating something when you have stress    You taking charge of  your stress and eating  connection and breaking that chain is key..  Did you hear that Kathy?  Hello, practice what Goody preaches

Take care,
Kathy

I am continuing to push hard on getting my protein up over 100g a day, and getting all of my fluids in.  Today I have such a craving for chocolate...ugh...so I allowed myself to have a little Bear Naked chocolate granola to take the edge off.  Aside from that...doing okay.

Here's the plan for today:

B:  Muscle Milk Light RTD
S:  Granola
L:  Soup and salad
S:  Chocolate protein shake, 2 oz. lowfat colby cheese
D:  Greek yogurt
S:  Mock rice pudding

Stats:

Calories:       1219
Fat:                19g
Carbs:            99g
Protein:         128g
