Back On Track Together
Scale - Untrustworthy
I rely heavily on my scale. Every morning in my birthday suit the scale and I meet and plan my meal according to what I did previously and how successful. However I found today I decided to get on the scale numerous times. Low and behold I got numerous weights with three pound differences. I was/am dissappointed.
Unfortunately this is a relationship that must remain, however I am looking for a new morning partner. Does anyone know of a trustworthy brand or type of scale? The one I have is a digital WW scale purchased at Walmart. Thanks for any suggestions.

Hi Z,
I find they are all like that, depending on how you stand... I have an old doctor's scale and that one shoots me straight every time. I know they are expensive new, but if you watch for going out of business ads and such you can get one dirt cheap. The scale is your tool for staying on track so try not to get in scale hell to much
The other scale I see members posting about the most is the Tanita Scales...
Good luck
Take care,
Kathy

Scales wear out. Like everything else. The older the scale - the more unreliable # you will get. It is important the surface the scale is on, how leveled it is. And so on. I had an older scale and the weight was different if / when I was leaning one way or another. by app 2 lbs. So I got rid of it and bought a new one. I tested the scale - standing differently on it, leaning front or back, etc. I knew I had a month to return it if I did not like it. My scale is accurate within 0.5 lb. That is good enough for me.
If you decide to buy a new scale - remember - like with everything else - just becasue someone else got a good one - same brand same model differnet scale can be deffective... try to buy it locally, keep the receipt and if it is not reliable - return and try to get another one... Test your scale monthy - or bi-monthly for accuracy - if that is important to you..
