What a successful way of thinking.  Ok, forgot my food I will just control what I eat today.  Nothing feels better than taking control of our lives

Hi, Kathy:

Sorry I am so late posting.

I am working on making myself exercise so I can get back into that healthy routine again.  Though it is hard to get motivated, I have been pushing myself -- hopefullly the good habits will establish themselves again!  :)

I am also pulling myself away from the carbs.  Though I have made sure the ones I have been having are "good carbs" I am finding that I am drawn to them more than I am protein, so I am really working hard to change that.  I actually threw away my carb triggers last night (drastic and a waste, I know, but a survival technique at this point) and today I am refocusing on protein...a step at a time, right?

Exercise:  1.7 miles on treadmill

Food:

B:  Protein bar
S:  Small banana
L:  Soup and salad (3/4 c soup, 1/2 garden salad -- dressing on side)
S:  Nuts
D:  Greek yogurt
S:  Faux rice pudding

Have a great evening!

3. Green salad with tuna
4. Turkey.... green beans..... green salad

I will admit that I surprised myself by not eating everything I know that I shouldn't.  Dealing with the stress  and depression pretty good.  Stuck to my plan and protein today although I didn't get in any exercise as I had hoped.  Meeting one of my friends at the gym at 6AM tomorrow morning after I drop the dog off at the groomer.....I don't know what the heck I was thinking when I promised her that, but I am looking forward to a good workout!

A really good day today.  Work was rough but I would rather eat well than eat like a vandal!  So here goes:
Breakfast:  2 hard boiled eggs and 2 bacon
Snack:  Protein shake (30 gms)
Lunch:  4 oz beef (cut in small pieces) and 1/2 C veggies
Snack:  Oh Whey protein snack ( 14 gms protein)
Dinner:  5 oz grilled chicken (no sauce),  1/2 peas (my fave!) and 1/4 C rice ( did not eat it all)
Snack :  Click protein shake

I did walk to day and thought my foot was going to fall off.   But it didn't and I walked for 1 mile.  Hopefully tomorrow goes well too.

BTW, I found that I was really full at all my meals!  My pouch works!!!!!

Rough day today - a vendor brought in bagels (one of my weaknesses) and they were set on the table beside my desk :(  I resisted MOST of the day, but mid afternoon, gave in to the craving and temptation and had one.  (And I was not happy with that!)

But, one good thing, instead of taking the elevator each time I had to go down a few floors, I walked.  I am not strong enough knee wise to go UP yet - but I'm going to start one flight at a time next week.

Back on the horse tomorrow...(And well, I'm glad I can be honest here!)

Love to you all!

Kellie

Hey your bagel was better than my pizza girlfriend    Next time have protein bars, nuts, LF cheeses, apple and peanut butter and see if that works.

We bad

We are not going to beat ourselves up.  We know what we ate was not a good choice but it's a far cry from the days where I would eat from the time I got up until I went to bed and I swear I ate in my dreams and gained weight.
