Oh Man, I want your direct number to Santa Claus    I remember you and I were talking about wanting one for Christmas.  Enjoy, I hear it is great and really keeps you on your toes

If you don't already do so, keep some nuts handy for a snack as well. I find those seem to fill me up during my snack attacks.

Keep up the great job you are doing

Take care,
Kathy

Checking in for the day!

I am back on track, and tracking everything - I had a bit of a derail last night when I had a peanut butter craving and gave in to a peanut butter cup that I had around.  Well, now that it's gone, there will be no more in its place, so no need to stress about it in the future, and definitely not going to be bringing any more into the house!

I am busy tracking everything with my iPhone using myfitnesspal.com, so if anyone is there and wants to be friends, let me know, I'll gladly add you.

It's a busy week for me, but I'm hoping that my new habit of scheduling everything will let me make it through it with my sanity and a loss on the scale on Friday!

  Day by Day.

Hi Kellie,

The next time you get a craving for peanut butter try this.  Cut up an apple and dip it in peanut butter.  If you can buy all natural peanut butter.  I too, love peanut butter and those damn peanut butter crackers are one of my trigger foods.  I find when I eat an apple with peanut butter that helps satisfies my craving.

Kudos to you for realizing you need to plan ahead when you are insanly busy    Keep up the good work

Take care,
Kathy

As of Monday I have been 100% band rule follower!!!! I am trying to keep focus on the prize 50 more lbs and I will be at goal. 50 more lbs and I will be at goal. 50 more lbs and I will be at goal. 50 more lbs and I will be at goal. I started my diary again. I had one last year when I started this journey so now I am back to writing in it. Hope dreams wishes and of course 50 more lbs and I will be at goal.
I WILL stick to the rules. Don't go into starvation mode. Make sure you eat enough. I did that right before the holidays and lost so slow that is why I went off the wagon. I am getting back on while eating all I should. I want to lose between 1-2lbs a week. In 52 weeks it can be anywhere from 52lbs or 102lbs less We can do this we just need to keep our eyes on the ball. We are worth more then donuts or what ever evil the devil's minion will tried to entice us with! Eye on the ball. Eye on the game. Eye of the prize. 50 lbs to goal. 50 lbs to goal. I can't wait for that # to change. Write it down Dream it See it

Hi Kathy.  New to this group but not OH.  Drawn to the thread's title.  Please clarify what is the "challenge" exactly?  I'm probably overthinking it.

Hi, texasmom,
The Jan. Challenge is to lose (or re-lose ) 5% of your body weight by the end of the month.  We can come to the daily challenge post just to check in & say how we're doing, let others know if we're having trouble, encourage others, or whatever.

There is also a daily Cardio & Cafe post, where members can list their daily food intake and exercise.  Some do this for the present day; some do it for the previous day--just depends on what makes sense for when you're able to post.

Always,
Jo

Thanks, Jo!  I appreciate the info.  A 5% challenge would put me down...hmmm...just about the right amount.  I may just have to jump in with you all.

Welcome, Welcome, Welcome....  Back On Track Together is for those of us that are struggling to lose a few pounds to get back to goal or help others stay at goal.  The January Challenge here is to help each other lose 5%  body weight.  We wanted to make it realistic and obtainable.  You can change this amount to anything you want.  The key is to come here daily, be accountable and help each other get Back On Track Together.  Some are using this to just get back to the basics.

So again Welcome and we are so glad to have you here in our group

Take care,
Kathy
