The Buddy System
I've mentioned once or twice that I think it would be helpful for us to have 'buddies' that we can turn to if we need a little extra support and can't get to our OH board. There seems to be some interest in the suggestion, so I thought that since we're starting '10 off with a challenge, and a lot of us are starting to get back on track, that now would be a great time to have buddies.
If you are interested, please reply to this thread or send me a private message. I will compile a list of buddies and then 'assign' your buddies to you by drawing names out of a hat. In order to get to know each other better, and help out new folks who may join us, I think that we could 'add a buddy' or 'reassign' a new buddy every three months.
You're not required to spend anything on your partner - or even disclose your real name or where you're located. But if you're comfortable sharing IM information, Facebook or twitter info, email addresses, or anything else that will allow your buddy to get in touch with you if they need a quick pick me up or 'intervention' to talk them out of doing something they know they shouldn't, it would be helpful. I would also like to see folks trading ideas and suggestions with each other as well - we've all been through some rough patches, and what we share with our partners could help them as well.

I would love to have a buddy, especially since I'm doing the January Challenge. Like Michelle I do have a Facebook account but rarely visit the site. I frequent OH more than anything else. My
buddy can PM me here on BOTT. It's a shame we don't live closer to each other I really need an exercise or walking partner.
