How Much Suppliments Should I be Doing?

I know I need to talk to the dietician about this but she's not around right now and my next appt isn't until the middle of Feb.

I am about 9 mo out from surgery and started gaining weight.  I know my biggest issue is drinking diet soda in excess, not getting in the suppliments, not eating or overeating, lack of exercise and probably something else I am forgetting.

Yesterday I wanted to get BOT so I started doing suppliments.  I was overwhelmed.  I quickly fell behind.  I can't do this.  It's too much.  It seems it was something every hour.  I got through half the day and fell behind to the point I just gave up.  I think this is why I was having trouble to begin with.  How am I supposed to function away from home.

So my question is what is required to get in at this stage?  I wonder if I am doing too much.

I did only have 1 can of diet soda yesterday!  That was a big challenge for me.

I keep my supplements pretty simple.  I take two Bariatric Fusion chewables in the morning, plus two fiber tablets, and then two BF chewables in the evening.  It works for me, all my numbers came back good at my 6month checkup this past summer.

Hope this helps!

Hi Jimi,

I usually take two Celebrate multivitamins each day.  I also take 1500 mg. of calcium citrate each day.  I love the lemon Creamy Bites from or the Calcium Plus 500 from Celebrate.  Each bite or tablet has 500 mg. of calcium so I take one of them three times a day.  I take one b-12 sublingual tablet about 3 times per week, and I take one B-complex tablet daily because my B-1 (Thiamin was a little low at one point)  I try to take one Celebrate Iron with vitamin C at night before going to bed as well.  You should not take the iron and calcium close together.  I have an appointment with a different nutritionist later on in January so I will see what she says.

Oh, and when I am working, I take my supplements with me.  Since I take one calcium, one multivitamin, and my B- vitamins in the morning before I leave for work, I only need to carry one calcium and one multivitamin with me.  I take them (the calcium and multivitamin during lunch). I can take the last calcium two hours later or at dinnertime.  Before bedtime, I take my iron.

Best wishes to you!
