I'm trying to get myself back on track.
Have most of you found that after cutting out the slider foods you can still have that tight, full, feeling that you had after your surgery?
Has the 5 day pouch test been helpful for anyone?
How did you get started back on track??
I'm starting out with the pouch test today and feel like I'm starving to death.
Help

I did it back in November, and yes, it helped me and then from there forward I followed the "Rules" to stay on Track. It got me out of the craving mode I was in, I went back to having protein drinks and drinking lots of water and I am so much happier with myself and feel so much healthier.   I have lost about 16 pounds over that time frame.   LOVE my TOOL ! !

Hi Michelle! The 5 day is a life saver. You have to be in the right state of mind to do it and when you do ...it WORKS!! Looks like you are on day 2 - keep pushing the liquids. I am going on 7 yrs out and I have gained about 30 lbs....could have been more without the 5 day. I have also learned that I have to focus more on the "day 6" mentality and follow the pouch rules to get rid of the 30 lbs gained. Big factors for me are protein (because I love carbs and slider foods) - liquid restrictions...sooo important to keep the pouch working correctly - and really staying away from sugar. Since buckling down on those things after my last round of the 5DPT - I am loosing again. Even over the Holidays. Good luck to you - you can do it....remember we once lived on a couple ounces of boos (or the like) each day! This is nothing :-)

I've been completely out of control since Thanksgiving.  I have gained about 12lbs. since.  I want to do the 5 day on Jan. 1st also.

I have done this many times... I use it to get back on track whenever I feel like I need to get hold of my behaviors. Over time I am losing and still have some more to go. So this is day 2 for you .. How are you doing so far?

I'm starting on 1/1/10 too...perhaps we could all do daily checkins with each other to see how we're doing :)

I'm sorry to ask a question that everyone knows the answer to, but what is the 5 day pouch test?  I'm post op 5 years and have regained 25 pounds. I didnt do many of the things that I should have done like exercise and take my supplements religiously. I have started both now  and have been doing so for several months and want to get on track with my eating habits and this help.
Thanks
