Good Thursday Morning BOTT Family -

Hello to all

well today I intended to be on liquids only to get BOT.  Have done really well until just now.  Aghhh, have sat down with a cup of hot tea and had some cookies to go with it.  Sigh, BUT I am NOT going to allow it to ruin the rest of my day, this is just a trip, not a stumble and fall.

here's the rest of my day:

snack:  slice of deli chicken

Dinner: shake

snack:  shake

with lots and lots of liquid drinks

Ruth - Remember - this is not your free passport to stay off track all day.  It is a mistake - we can learn from mistakes.

What were the thoughts running through your head before you ate the cookies?  The sooner you tune into your throughts the easier it will be to counteract them.  Wanting to eat DOES NOT equal you will die if you don't eat.  We would never in a million years admit to believing if we did not eat those cookies right on the spot we would die - but look at how we act.  Our actions speak so loud we cannot hear our words.

Those cookies did not jump out of the cupboard, into your hand and down your throat.  You had to think to act - so, no brainer - change your thinking.

Take it 5 minutes as a time.  What were you soothing with cookies - lonliness, boredom, procrastination, love of self, something else?  That's what you need to address and the thoughts that go with it - and NON-FOOD ways to soothe.  We ALL need to be soothed and when we take away food if we don't address those issues we are doomed to eat because it's what we've done in the past.

SO.....BOT right now - celebrate every 5 minutes - post instead of eat (we've all been where you are and have done what you did - call on BOTT POWER) - PLAY - laugh - put yourself and your needs first so you will have the best possible you to share with others.  Forgive yourself RIGHT NOW for being human.

I wish you peace and joy

Good morning all!

Well, we got the panneling off of the walls yesterday and all the nails out. It was hilarity to see that under the bright pumpkin orange-painted wood pannels, there was bright 1960's teal. What is with this house and super-bright colors?  Then the most ourtrageous thing... my parents offered to buy us all new cabinetry for the kitchen! We were planning to redo all the walls, counters, floors and everything... and they thought it'd be a nice housewarming gift. Nice??!! How about amazing!! So today is rip-out the kitchen day. I jsut have to tell myself "I'll be nice when we're done".... because seeing the walls bare and in shambles is going to make me twitch a little.

Anyhoo, I'm going to start hard-core re-focusing on my food intake. No more sneaky sneaking, no more "just a bite".... I need to dedicate to getting proper fuel into myself, because I woke up this morning and I was exhausted.

Cardio - Tear down the kitchen, walk the poochie

Food -
B - Light wheat toast and apple butter
S - Click
L - Light tuna with light miracle whip on wheat thins BIG
S - Apple and almonds
D - Fish sticks and tater tots?

You're so right - you've got to put the right fuel into that steam roller, house remodeler - if you are going to demand it perform at it's peak.  You deserve to be the best you you can be!!!!

New cabinets - WOW!!!!  What a marvelous gift!

By the way, thank you for teaching me a new mini goal (does so help my project of learning patience! LOL)  Today I can count the days to my floppy thigh surgery on one hand!  Like that!!!!!!

Glad you're shedding the paneling - never cared for a house in a box even when it was the "in" decor.

Have a wonderful day!!!!!

It is so great having those mini goal count downs. I'm so glad for you, its so close! What a nice holiday pressie for you.

Ugh yes, not to mention they painted over the wood panneling, so it looked horrid on top of horrid. The teal isn't much better lol.

Sounds like you get to "kill" several birds with one stone by getting rid of it!!  When I got married the popular color combination for the kitchen was teal and pink - I thought it was beautiful - my dishes where even that combination - now UGH.

Hi Happy,
Congrats on the one hand countdown for your surgery.  I would like to do something for my thighs.  I have more wrinkles than my Shar-Pei, Ernie!
Please keep us posted on your progress!

I hope you took before pictures and you take during pictures as well as after.  We did that when we bought our house ten years ago, every room had very old wallpaper with Eagles on it, I think it was called Americana in those days but come on, in the Bathroom, bedroom and Kitchen, it was a bit much (we won't discuss the Purple bedroom, Red velvet wallpaper, etc..)
