Hey Everyone

Do you find you use Mondays as your "do over" day?  Either because you messed up during the week or the weekend?  Does this pattern sound familiar?

My husband had some people over for a holiday party and we had some great fun.  I had clean foods and not so clean foods to please everyone.  I can't tell you how many comments were made to the people that were eating clean.  "Live it up, holidays only come around once a year.  YOU CAN START OVER MONDAY.....  SAY WHAT"?

Hello, it's that kind of thinking, behavior that got us to 200 and 300 hundred pounds or more.  I tried to discuss the issue and they didn't want to hear it.  What ever

Don't let anyone derail you and don't let one specific day signal a DO OVER.  Make every day special

Take care,
Kathy

I find my Do Over time needs to come BEFORE the eating - as it's my thinking that needs the tune up.  If I take care of the thinking - the eating takes care of itself.  I'm not willing to give my power away to someone else - used to be, but NO MORE!!!! They aren't going to catch me asleep at the switch if I can help it!!!! (and I alway CAN, it's really a matter of IF - if I will)

My do-over was May 14, 2008. - the day I had the RNY.  Now - it is a way of life.   No more Do-overs.    Every day counts.
My do over is when i note my weight creeping back on me - then i cut back on some carbs.  Or when my weight drops below my "low limit" then my do-over is to increase carbs.  Anything else - just not worth the trouble.
My weekdays - allow me to be more organized in my food intake.  And vitamins.  Weekends - I give myself some slack.  Not all the time - but if I get busy - and forget to take vits - I try not to bit myself over that - but make sure I do better next time.

sigh...yes thsi is the thinking that got me to 266lbs - the do over when I overindulged.  I still fight that mindset, but recognise how dangerous it is.

It gets me into the swing pattern - overeat / undereat / overeat, etc. etc. etc. and so my weight goes up with each swing.

No more for me - I am working hard to renew my mind and let me eating follow

Thanks for the reminder kathy
