Hey Everyone

I was really out of it yesterday but feeling so much better.  We had our first offical blizzard here in ChiTown and now they are predicting wind chills of 50 below.  UGH

I have chicken soup in my crockpot and just love it.  Crock pots are our best friends and especially this time of the  year when we are trying to stay on track and it's cold outside.

Here is a link of a post from January of this year giving names of great recipe books and links.

No exercise to speak of until I feel better and mostly clear liquids yesterday.

I hope everyone is hanging in there.  We can get through the stress of the holidays and come out the other side together.

Take care,
Kathy

Kathy - Believe it or not - my culinary skills do extend beyond nuking to crock potting (very simple crock potting)  I was overwhelmed (not at all difficult when it comes to the kitchen!!!!! LOL) where, specifically can I find your chicken soup recipe.  Since I don't have a little Jewish mother to feed me chicken soup (have often wished I did), I have to make my own and today that sounds SO GOOD!

That doesn't make sense does it?  It should say - I was overwhelmed with all the cookbook choices when I went to the web site you referenced - so......that's why I'm asking for your specific recipe.  Sometimes my fingers just don't keep up with my head.

I have this one and have tried all the chicken, soup and bean recipes and love them all.  I noticed they  have this in paperback now....  Fix it and forget it

I love to use ground turkey and make sloppy joes.  I love to do a roast with roasted veggies and then use the left overs for soup.  I love doing a chicken with veggies and then use the left overs for soup.  One of my fav is buying a jar of already cooked pinto beans and cut up some really lean ham and put it in the crock pot on low just to heat and eat with a salad.  Yum and great source of protein!!!!

As long as I don't have to go out and drive in this stuff (it's snowing like crazy out) I love this time of the year.

Take care,
Kathy

Love crock pot chilli. I always make extra and freeze it in individual servings. Then when hungry I can nuke a serving and get great taste and high protein.
