Thought after gaining 70 pounds that I was done for. That I wasn't going to be able to reverse and or get back to using my tool. Well, starting in Nov I started upping my protien again, and decreasing my carbs, and cutting all sugar, and fruits *fruits for now* And I am so happy to report that I have lost 21 pounds in just about a month. Next is moving much more then I have been. WIth Fibro, that isn't alway an easy task, but one that I must make happen. Walking is just about the best thing I can do without to much pain. Also I have the need to stop soda, start drinking much more water. Loosing the 21 pounds has really lifted my spirits and I really feel like I can and will do this.
I am thankful for this group. I don't feel like I am alone, and that I am the only one with issues of weight gain. Thank you for starting this group.

It can be done, we just have to want it bad enough. Coming back is a great start. Good luck, hope the best for you. I am 21 down and 88 more to go, ouch. Mostly my fault, but also lived in an rv for over a year, and I only had a hot plate to cook on, that has changed, and so will my weight.
Best of luck.

BOTT POWER is an amazing force!  WELCOME   So glad you all are here.  I know I could never have gotton back/stayed on track without the caring, support, understanding and acceptance of this group.  We've all been where you are or we wouldn't be here so you certainly aren't alone.!!!!

I'm happy to say I've shed the pounds I've gain, lowered my goal weight by 5 pounds and am maintaining for the first time in my life.  This is the 3rd time in my life I've lost over 100 pounds.  Always before, whether I lost 100 ozs or 100 Lbs within less than a month I was on my way to regaining my weight.  So you can see when we choose to  use our tool, it really works.  Maintaining still seems like a miracle to me - what a glorious gift by lap band has given me.  If I can do it ANYONE can do it.

that is so uplifting to hear you have lost your gained weight. For me to loose mine I have 50-60 to loose, but to reach my goal weight I have 82 pounds to go. So my first goal is to reach my all time low, and then once there remain focused on going all the way down to 150. It is great to have this group, it is so much easier to make things happen with support, understanding and friends. Thank you all, you are great.

Poet - Remember this isn't a marathon - slow and steady wins the race   This isn't a diet where we go on and off, it's a lifestyle change.  It is FOREVER.  "That's where we often get off the track - more than likely \we haven't ever thought FOREVER.

Have no doubts - you haven't failed - you have simply been human.  Human beings aren't perfect (and it isn't even realistic to think that in the next 100 years we will never eat anything we shouldn't or more than we should t - we will - but that isn't the important day - the important day is the NEXT day - do we choose to keep eating or do we choose to get right back on track?  The choice is always ours.  The next day may not be the next calendar day - but the day we choose to get back on track and you have already made that choice YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!), human beings make mistakes, human beings can correct their mistakes, human beings can learn from their mistakes.  You are on your way to that absolute goal weight - one day, one meal, maybe even 5 minutes at a time.

I wish you wise choices

I joined this group a while back and got my program in order.  Then, life got the best of me again and my emotional eating became an issue.  I've gained about 15 pounds.  At other times in my life, I would have just counted myself as a failure and given up.  Not now.  I am determined to get back to the basics.  They work.  My tool works.  Sabotage doesn't help anything.

Thanks for posting.

I'll be a regular now.  Yesterday was my first day making any attempt at all.  It wasn't perfect, but it was better.  Progress not Perfection!
