Lost only 2 pounds last month
I only lost 2 pounds last month. I have been back on my protien for the past 2 1/2 weeks and that's probably why I wasn't loosing weight ( I guess) . I was exercising every other day, drink all my water and the only meal I eat is dinner.Last month my weight went up from 271 to 278. As of today I am 269. My surgery date was 7/14. I got depressed and stopped exercising, but did start back on the protien. I will start exercising again today, but I wonder sometimes if I got the wrong surgery. I am trying to work with the tool I have, but it has been very discouraging. I try to stay positive, but it is a challenge.

I want to urge you to look at the glass half full not half empty - yay!! You lost 2 lbs - that's great.
hmmm....only eating one meal a day - maybe you need to eat several small meals which might suti yoru body better and keep your metabolism working at full steam?
Yes, exercise is a key - not that I follow my own advice on that one!!
hang in there - 2 lbs each month will soon grow to an number that will amaze you.

Of course you didn't lose - eating only one meal a day. That just isn't going to work. It may very well be you aren't eating enough calories - it blew me out of the water when my dr. told me I would have to eat more if I wanted to lose. But it worked. They made me promise not to weigh for a month - well, I only made it for three weeks - because I might gain at first when I increased my calories but not to worry as I would start losing - and I did. Space your calories throughout the entire day. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day because your body has been the longest without nourishment then - it doesn't have to be a big breakfast but it does not to contain protein. And of course your 1/2 gallon of wter every day (well, 60 oz but that is only 4 oz less than a half gallon. After you get your 60g of protein and 60 oz of water in then spend the calories you have left on other foods (following your dr's guidelines for your surgery)
You can do it!!!!! (And by the way, how much would it seem like if you'd gained 2 pounds???? Two pounds down puts you 4 pounds better than gaining two pounds!)

FreeSpirited1 you are only six months post-op...one meal a day is not going to work. You are starving your body...you MUST eat six small meals a day to be successful. You should be consuming 900 - 1000 calories a day. No snacking, and no grazing is also an important point to remember. PROTEIN, EXERCISE, WATER, MEDS and REST; all important factors on this WL journey.

Only on emeal a day is not good. My nut states I can only replace one meal a day with a protein shake and the rest I need to eat healthy meals concentrating on my protein first then the other food I choose to eat.
Right now I am doing no flour and no sugar food plan - I do not eat pasta or sweets. Right now I do alot of fresh and cooked veggies, salad and my protein. Breakfast is oatmeal and my protein or a protein shake. I am losing again and it feels great!
